- Slovakia's prime minister, Robert Fico, was shot Wednesday and rushed to a hospital where he's in life-threatening condition, according to his Facebook page and multiple Slovak and international news agencies. CBS News foreign correspondent Chris Livesay has more.

let me rephrase it in coherent english: Fico is having a surgery and is in critical condition, he had been shot in abdomen and arm, also a leg btw, the shooter is 71 year old writer and is in custody.
The shooter is Juraj Cintula, born in 1953, some sort of a writer or a poet. Said he did not like Fico's political views.

That must be why every developed country's gun death rate is so much lower than in the US!
Gun laws don't prevent 100% of gun deaths, but they do prevent a large fraction of them, it's not rocket science. You can get sick even if you have been vaccinated, you can get a heart attack even if you have a healthy lifestyle, and yes, you might still get shot even if your country has strict gun laws. The point is to save as many people as possible.
