All of the coverage in BTN is just amazing, but this one stands out because it tackles one of the most pervasive narratives during most armed conflicts, which is the focus on the suffering on women and children. There is good reason for this, as societies tend to feel more sympathy for elements of society perceived as 'weak' and in need of protection, and also because in many armed conflicts, combatants are overwhelmingly adult men. However, this is not a normal armed conflict, as the ICJ has rightly determined and there is this notion that as long as women and children are spared, men are fair game. At this point, all metrics of human suffering are off the charts and need to be denounced, condemned and treated as such. I5ra3l and its complicit allies have to be taken out of power and brought to a criminal court for trial and conviction for crimes against humanity. Free Palestine!

In June, Israel approved the development of Gaza Marine, the strip of water off the Gazan coast containing an estimated 1tn cubic feet of natural gas. Offshore Technology said the field would produce about 2.4bn dollars in royalties and profits for Palestine during its lifetime. Jan 22, 2024, I think they want their natural gas as well.
