I didn't know much about him at all but my dad said that he was one of the most failed outlaws, in fact he said that Elmer was probably the worst face to be put to our name. I did a research paper on him for my history class and you helped a lot with it. You gave details that I didn't really know other than what my dad had told me. I do know that my dad said one of our family members, which was I think a cousin, was extremely embarrassed by how much he had failed as an outlaw/criminal that he didn't want to even be seen near his body since he was supposedly closer to him. Idk how true or accurate that is but that's what went through the family rumors and such. I also know that said cousin or whatever he was, was a more successful criminal/outlaw and that he wasn't caught until many years later. As I said before I'm not sure how accurate this may be, but that's what's been told throughout family rumors and old tales passed down.
Actually relate with McCurdy a bit in his childhood. Was adopted by my grandmother and told she was my mother from birth and that my actual birth mother (her daughter) was my sister... Grew up thinking and living this lie until I found out at 24 years old..

Actually relate with McCurdy a bit in his childhood. Was adopted by my grandmother and told she was my mother from birth and that my actual birth mother (her daughter) was my sister... Grew up thinking and living this lie until I found out at 24 years old..
