general dnd advice, wizards\Gale can increase their spells by using scrolls. right click and learn. it costs a bit of gold, depending on the spell level

Luckless silently clicking all of the extortion prompts with the gnome was hysterical.
If the body of the bard is still about maybe use ‘Speak with dead’ on it to get some answers
I feel like she may NOT because we killed her. But yes we should try because if it lets us it may mean we didn’t actually kill her. Although I’m like 99% sure we did haha
It will be thetr I found. Because I only loot in the next rest. Maybe because of that body was still there. I also dark urge btw and I truly liked to have her joined. You actually could have interacted with her and helped with her songs in the druid camp.

It's the fact that The Dark Urge took away 100% of player control to do LITERALLY what it's namesake is. No dream bailout. That's shocking. I was so excited for you guys to have a Bard, Bards are so cool. Now I'm just...wow. Blindsided. 100% didn't see that coming.

@LucklessLovelocks it's the way I thought Dark Urge was just kinda like a dark whisper, taunting you to do the bad things. Suddenly THE RULES ARE DIFFERENT! Good luck with your ticking time bomb of an ally 👍

Only thing I dont like about this series is its so good I watch them immediately then I'm sad I don't have more.

Only thing for me is I can’t resist watching whilst I wait for the September PlayStation release. Only watching half episodes here and there to try and not fully spoil it.

You don't need to do a long rest to swap companions. If you open the camp menu, there are 3 options: short rest, long rest and go to camp.
Use the last to just visit your camp and talk or swap out your companions.

The best part about blaming her death on a feral animal is that it's ignoring the fact she was stabbed to death with her own horn lol. You can see it stabbed into her heart.

You can find Alfira in the Grove, before this night happens. If you turn off lethal damage, you can knock her out, take a long rest, and safe her from being killed. The NPC would be replaced with a different NPC whom's only purpose is to replace Alfira in case she is not capable of travelling. (Dead, knocked out, w/e) I don't think she comes to your camp if you don't play Dark Urge, from what I've seen it's very specific to your Dark Urge that triggers her to come, as your first murder that night starts the whole questline.
Astarion the vampire is like "Mmmm, someone's had *quite* the night".
On the mirror part I smashed the mirror since i am the Barbarian class lol.

No, if you walk through the front door you can befriend all the Goblins by revealing you are "True Soul" (have the worm). Implies the leaders of the Goblins all have worms as well. This can work with the Main Goblin camp as well.(Also missed out a Goblin quest back with the Druid camp where there is a prisoner).
just so you know you can only have a max of 4 inspiration at a time so always use 1 if you are at 4
Since you seemed a little confused about the Trip attack on Laezel, here is how it works:
First you need to "Hit the Target" - This Percent gets shown on the attack. Laezel is Melee Fokused thats why she missed this shot.
Second There will be a save - This will not be shown on the Percentile Dice. - For the Opponent. Disarm I believe is a Strength Save, Trip is Dexterity and Menacing is a Wisdom Save. This is in line with the Tabletop because you have to actually "guess" on your opponents strengths and weaknesses to figure out which spells/ Specials work best against certain opponents. For example Disarming a Giant probably wont work since he is to strong, even if the Attack hits. However Giants tend to be not very agile, so you can make him fall prone. :) GL Love your Content!
Fun Fact, Alfira isn't actually a companion, I wish she was, having a Bard would be really cool. This scene only occurs if you are the Dark Urge, specifically so you can murder her, she doesn't ever come to you like this on a regular. It would have been awesome to have a Bard companion!
Pls sir, get your dark urges under control asap! I enjoyed her song in the druids cove and was looking forward to many more songs during the journey ahead. Great episode again. Ps you were thinking about upping the difficulty, i am a bit ahead of both of you, have been playing on tactician and i am having a blast with it( i never played bg3 before or DnD).

This completely flipped my entire expectation for what The Dark Urge plays like. I thought for sure it would just be dialogue prompts that you could choose to lean into or resist, not that there might be situations completely out of the players control. That may have just cemented The Dark Urge as my favorite part of the game now
I'm now curious to see if Karlach will lose it at some point and burn everyone around her up with the infernal engine she has instead of a heart.
Here's a tip about your encumberance problem you're running into. You can send items from your inventory straight to camp with a right click {you can also ctrl select multiple items then right click to batch send} and those items will end up in your Traveler's Chest at camp. Oh and another tip - ya read every note, book, scrap, etc you find. One of you no doubt probablly had the item that also gave you that mirror name asked which was actually found on a 2nd note or book. Might be harder because you're playing coop but you should get the dialouge triggers coming up if 2 character have read the clues. I've found other missions that have multi notes as well, not just this one.

In games like this you shouldn't be hurry.
Send the extra stuff like those 18 camp supplies to camp (right clock context menu on the item). No need to carry extra stuff since you can port back and forth to camp for selling to traders whenever. Cheers
I don't know for sure but i think Alfira is only there to get brutalized by the dark urge given she appears and is butchered right away by the dark urge And that I never saw her on my Playthrough Where i don't have the dark urge.

Yep, definitely a Dark Urge thing.
She's in the druid's grove, she just doesn't offer to join your camp if you're not dark urge.
She's kinda like Mol where you meet her in act 1 and she plays a small role in the rest of the game as a side character. I've heard if you kill The Dark Urge when she shows up at camp and wait to revive him until the next morning that you'll get unique dialogue saying how you didn't kill her. There's a ton of unique dialogue like that in this game but I haven't confirmed it myself so take it with a grain of salt
So sad to see The Bard die, she piqued my interest as a companion!

Your missing out on all the good stuff by being a scaredy cat all the time.
One of the caskets contain a scroll of quasit summoning, that involves one of the best NPC encounter in the game when you use it.
And the floor thing is not a trap, it's just to turn on the light.

Its hard to hear the cut scenes when you both are talking over them. I know that there are subtitles but not everyone can read them.
In the middle of a battle, I drink the suspicious poison by accident mistaking it for a healing potion 😖
all 4 of my party failed the perception check in the apothecary's cellar so I'm gonna have to go swap someone out and go back to try it again with others... ffs

A bit sad you both saw it... I mean it would be obvious who did it, but still. Also devs shouldve named Dark Urge differently... like The Totally not a Serial Killer or something. Would be pretty cool for coop plays like this if noone knew what to expect.
You can make it so the other play doesn't see the "secret" stuff that only your player sees. We decided against it.

I Wonder how this kind of thing will play if the Dark Urge is just someone in your party and not the main character? Do every companion have this kind of story ? Do you see it if you roll a character like I intend to ? I grow more and more impatient to play this game, I should really stop watching your playtrough, but I have this kind of dark urges who push me to keep looking.
I guess my playtrougth will be different in many ways
Dark urge does show up if you don't play as them, but they aren't a companion. Exept for 4 of the later ones you can play as all of the companions yourself and see their stories that way.

the only reason I still not inclined to buy this game is because only 4 members can be in a party.
in Divinity it might work well, but in bg3 there are so many skill checks and character interactions, it is just too annoying to have to choose, which one to take with you.

I would like night vision to be passive for some races and creatures, rather than having to turn it on and off every time.
Darkvision is passive for some races. It's passive for me.
It barely matters in the current version of the game, but yeah if you pick a race that has it it's just passive.

Hey Odd, i dont mean to criticize too much, im having fun too. but its not that clear what type of character you are playing. I mean, as dark urge those goblins where exactly something you should be willing to fight to satisfy your desire. You seem to play this "as best" rather than "as a character", which i think takes out some of the fun of the game, where following a way of being results in weird outcomes.
I wouldnt intend this game as a strategy game as much as a role playing game.

If so those scrolls would look good copied into his Spellbook.
Wizards can copy scrolls into books but we haven't been using him. Would be a good idea to hold on to one of each for that though.

i like Dark Urge
I know it is like a week later, so you might already know this, but I don't think the bard girl shows up to the camp outside of a Dark Urge playthrough. So that is a unique interaction, for better or worse. It is awesome how many different things they made for this game.
Yeah, but she does show up as a character in the world, with her own little story if you aren't urgey. (Or presumably if you immediately send her away.)

It's just different content, you're not cut off from anything.
