Pro tip: the next time you want to do "slow motion" photography, shoot at a higher frame rate. Taking regular video at 24 or 30 FPS or whatever and slowing THAT down just gets you a slide show... like this.
It was useful to watch sequence in slow motion from this vantage point. Could identify individual columns what had both shaped and kicker charges wrapped in plywood and further shielded with sand. First sequence the shape charges cut pre-notched steel columns, then kicker charges (probably stick explosive) kicked the steel away enough for gravity to do it's job of bringing structure down. It is a picture perfect by the book example of how controlled explosives work. Could watch this all day. The clouds of thick black smoke at end is years of built up dust from operations. There is far more dust than residual smoke from explosives. That is one reason controlled demolition is preferred over conventional demolition... 1 big cleanup at end vs many cleanups every day. You only have to do it once. At end, there is a manageable pile of debris that can now be safely cutup.
Hi Peter It is. But on the other hand, if you look at my latest video you will see how much land has been cleared for new business and hopefully a decent future for our kids.
Love the chain reaction of the explosion. The slow motion highlights this. Great video. Loved it.
Cheers
Love this.. Thank you for uploading.
Cheers
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it mate
I really like this, love how you can clearly see the sequence of explosive charge 👍🏻
Thanks Andy. Wish I'd recorded it at 60fps it would have been smoother
I saw this on Andy's channel and UA-cam just put your video in front of me. Really fantastic footage! Super impressed! New sub here.
Thank you. Much appreciated.
Absolutely fantastic Mick the slow motion really worked a treat, great capture 👏👏👍.
Cheers Steve
I wish I'd used 60fps. It was set to 24fps from last time I had the drone out.
Still it looks amazing 👍
Amazing footage!
Thank you, much appreciated.
WOW, great footage thanks
Cheers. Thanks for watching.
Very sad to see this giant go down
Let's see what comes in it's place
That's pretty impressive......
I wish I had recorded in a higher frame rate but I'm still happy with the result

Thanks, it was an afterthought from the original video but served it's purpose at the time. My initial thought wasn't to slow the video down.
Great footage you can see the concrete plinths that hold the converters up light up with the explosives going off.💣
Thanks, much appreciated

Steven thanks for watching.
@@stillightdronephotography Awesome job with the video
For once I'd like to hear some 80s metal instead of piano.
Unfortunately it would be copyrighted. I must agree though, it would make a dramatic video.
The company would like to get in touch to use some of your work.
That would be fantastic.
Sad what has happened to our industry
It is, but I'm sure the area will benefit from the demolition and construction work.
Sad
