Levi’s story matches up to what I learned about adapt before I quit their ‘team’. So sorry to hear young talent was treated like this! Thanks so much for sharing!!
Adapts just lost 40% of its sales. 🤣 Just one more reason for me not to skate adapts. Great podcast Billy and Austin! Great listen and thanks for the honesty Levi! Keep skating bruv
And people were flipping out over the Razors drama lmfao… Adapt is on another level, threatening to break Levi’s legs is an actual crime, at least in the US.
35:43 Wow! So cool that you shared this. Is Rembrandt Van Rijn your ancestor? So epic! I wish JSP knew this painter. You would probably be as amazed by this fact as I am now. For those who don't know just google this name.
Thanks to Levi for sharing this. It sucks that the Adapt product is actually really great, but the way this was handled sounds terrible. To be fair, we didn't hear Pieter's side of the story. That said, some of you might remember "stronger cows" be-mag comments. Not going to suddenly stop skating my Adapts, they're awesome. BUT, maybe let Olga handle communications !
I've heard stuff about Olga going off at people at Winterclash 😬 hearing this stuff makes me kinda ashamed to skate Adapts but no other skates fit my feet, I've tried practically everything else.
@@mattbtv My email correspondence with Pieter was always helpful too, even with a lot of n00bish Qs. So from my personal experience I can't say anything negative about the service I've received. But doesn't mean I can ignore what's being said here. Businesses often treat customers and staff differently, and they might not even see team riders as staff, even if they should. It's a horrible situation for sure, and I'm saddened that Levi had to experience this and makes me wonder if other riders at Adapt have had to deal with anything similar.
@@weedanwine I agree, and hope that they do step out in front of the situation and speak honestly on it. For the good of these relationships, and for their role in the community, meaning both people and product sides of the equation. I still respect their efforts to push the quality of skating products forward, but it seems there is an imbalance here that should be addressed.
Thanks for the shout out!
BIIG L for adapt. poor behavior, thanks for sharing this!
great episode, see you tomorrow :)

Sorry to hear that Bill. You made great content on riding their skates and sure praised the heck out of them in the process.
@@mattbtv Thanks so much Matt!! I still love adapt skates; shame about the adapt vibe!
levis pro skate better have some coffin artwork on it

37:37 🤯
Only 40%? I feel like people buying a 1000 dollar skate are going to be a lot more opinionated about companies and do a lot of research...
@tawmi sarcasm ish. Probably adapt will lose 63% of their sales after people see this podcast
And people were flipping out over the Razors drama lmfao… Adapt is on another level, threatening to break Levi’s legs is an actual crime, at least in the US.
@BlazedBlader adapt should have got Chris haffey on the team. His nickname the bone crusher would of had a new/literal meaning 😂

Agree I was blown away by that casual comment on his ancestor !
Yeah I can’t believe they just moved on from that, haha. Easily top 5 painters of all time??
Lit podcast for sure. Levi holds it down for all of us tall skaters #respect!
Amazing skater...just watched Plastic Pushers. Stoked to have just found out about him!
Legend!
How does someone NOT pick Haffey to blade fight an alien invasion?
Tell him to calm tf down and stay seated 🪑
Billy really tried again to defend the English language with alakazam, and Levi was like nah
Adapt hold this L

@@weedanwine I can only go by my email correspondence with Olga, which was always kind and positive.
