Let's be real. These people are literal musicians, and while their job is also to look pretty and dance well, it's ridiculous for artists to sing their own song off-key. If it's just once or twice then who cares, but a lot of idols REPEATEDLY sing off-key or with an unstable voice. If they aren't capable of singing their own song well, then I think it's up to the agencies to train them better or choose someone more capable/well-rounded.
They train for such a long period but don’t improve much and they lack technique. I don’t think the companies care about vocals anymore, they just want the idols to look good and dance pretty. It’s sad because in some ways, the companies are setting them up to fail by not giving them proper training and autotuning them all the time.

However, I think that training does improve skill and technique when given the proper resources and also when the trainee has a positive mindset. Just look at some trainees on survival shows or even how far BABY MONS7ER and XG have improved compared to when they started training.

I think it was beacuse cube debuted shuhua early while she still need more training at that time, but now she really improved throughout the years and theyve been using her real voice color and tone in their songs thats why somewhat she can sing it live confidently.

Omg Shuhua is really tone deaf and people said that the big foreheaded creature improved. Shuhua is one of the biggest dozens in kpop. Also one of the ugliest visuals. Miyeon deserves to be the only visual cause she is actually pretty while Shuhua’s face is flatter than a pancake.
Now that I've been ARMY for a few years, I've started to agree with the one about Jimin more. He gets a lot of vocal praise because he has such a unique sound to his voice, but sometimes it feels like his technique is lacking. Maybe he's more unstable in some parts of his range and not others but I feel like sometimes he sounds like he's straining himself or singing unnecessarily nasally.
@@lea5308 I do like Jimin's voice and it's been a while since I've listened to BTS live- I went to one of their concerts in 2019 and haven't been up to date with many of the live performances since even though I still listen to their music. I do have to agree sometimes I do feel he strains on some songs, and that could be due to the song either being out of his range or improper technique as you've mentioned, because his throat shouldn't be losing his voice completely through a couple performances as the could be concerning for his voice over time.
That doesn't mean he CANT SING. You are not an army if you're giving leeway for people to hate on Jimin. This video isn't for constructive criticism, its hate and you are supporting it.

So am new to kpop I joined after going to Hyde park where blackpink performed I came across this video I immediately searched jimin bad vocals here on yt instead of me believing trends and I saw 3 videos of him 1 with charlie puth his voice was really bad 2 the encore video they sang ON song and 3 this like crazy encore those are the video every creator use to make fun of him I check more and didn’t find any I searched for jimin good vocals from 2013 till now even thier live recording in studio and so many jimin got this beautiful and angelic voice that no one in kpop have am going to appreciate that

You can blame Hybe if you like because they are known to not give their idols vocal training but at this point it's his responsibility to find a good vocal coach. Not only jimin but bighit ruined V's vocals too by forcing to sing him in high pitch. I don't think jimin was ever forced to sing in low pitch, BTS songs are always high pitched that's why jin is always forced as well and then antis drag him. Jin and made excellent decision by choosing not to work with bighit, TA is one of my most favourite kpop works and jin sounds comfortable and V cemented his place in my heart again as an amazing vocalist after layover. Jimin chose pdogg that means he's comfortable with him.
A musician has good and bad days like any other worker. You don't consider that many of these idols have gone through situations of stress, stage fright and terror just because they are constantly judged by people who have never stepped on a stage in their lives, or sung a fucking song and who dedicate themselves to destroying them on social media like you.
Afterall all these are Weak Vocalists but HYBE has so favoratism towards Jimin that he literally gave him Lead Vocalist when he doesn't have vocal support 😭

I work with mic’s almost everyday… that’s not a mix problem. His voice is exsausted and very strained. Get him some green tea with honey and a good vocal rest (2-3 weeks)

Tbh the clip that is shown with Jimin actually sounds fine (btw this is coming from someone with 10 years of singing experience and has relative pitch); it was only the lower notes that he fumbled a little; then again, I don’t know how he sounded with the backing track, but just isolating his vocals, he sounds fine
In my own personal opinion, there are two K-pop groups that are top tier when it comes to Live, power, soulful, vocals, from their debut until now…EXO and MAMAMOO.
Yes, i agree that some of the idols shown here have unstable live vocals but i feel like it also gets down to the occasion; for example when idols sing after they've recieved some award or something they tend to get emotional, excited and sometimes even cry due to being overwhelmed which can make their voice sound bad(?)but yes there are some idols which geniunely have quite unstable vocals.
I study music, and when it comes to shuhua she isnt at all a bad singer but instead, I dont think she understands the concept of rhythm and tone making her live vocals sound unstable. When recording for nxde, soyeon was kinda teaching shuhua about rhythm during her part `how do I look` how, do, and look both land on downbeats and I is on an upbeat, and it was a kinda clear she understand it. Now about tone, as you can hear here compared to the other members she sounds extremely off key. Most of (g)-idle is really good with tuning which is why a lot of them sound the same live and in music videos. If you listen to the raw vocal recording compared to the music video shuhua part sounds extremely flat in the live recording. Thank you so much for reading!

I think that's due to her I*zone days since Japanese idols are only really used for their charm and visuals so companies don't provide them with proper vocal training. I think hybe is giving ger better vocal training tho so we'll see how she improves in the future

I'm here to defend kkura and heres the thing. I was a fan of kkura and I always wondered why she never had lines both izone and as lsf but I she said in the documentary that she she knew how much she gets hated for her voice she even mentioned how down she felt because of that to the point that she was afraid to come on stage again. I've never really seen kkura in that perspective before and I respect her so much for still continuing as an idol in korea. Theres also a saying that Japanese idols are more about their personalities and entertainment more than their talent, it's kind of true but kkura is no less than an all rounded idol from improving her dance skills, her expressions she seen doing so well. I love seeing sakura grow, regardless of how good or bad she is at certain days. She's doing amazing.

Jungkook, on the other hand, is a good singer because he hired a personal vocal coach. Pledis' vocal coach is better than HYBE's, yet HYBE doesn't utilize them, despite them being part of HYBE. HYBE believes in the development of advanced autotune/AI to artificially enhance idols' voices

depending on the type of performance id say some would be understandable like in ateez even if they sing live most of the time the choreos are really hard hitting so if they ever have a bad day it wouldnt matter much same goes for groups who go all out with dance moves during performances and in turn loose stamina but if an idol is just standing and still cant hold a note properly then they need to train more

I think it was beacuse cube debuted shuhua early while she still need more training at that time, but now she really improved throughout the years and theyve been using her real voice color and tone in their songs thats why somewhat she can sing it live confidently.

Now that I've been ARMY for a few years, I've started to agree with the one about Jimin more. He gets a lot of vocal praise because he has such a unique sound to his voice, but sometimes it feels like his technique is lacking. Maybe he's more unstable in some parts of his range and not others but I feel like sometimes he sounds like he's straining himself or singing unnecessarily nasally.
His technique is definitely lacking!
He has talked about it before, after performance his throat usually hurts and it’s hard for him to even talk.
@@lea5308 I do like Jimin's voice and it's been a while since I've listened to BTS live- I went to one of their concerts in 2019 and haven't been up to date with many of the live performances since even though I still listen to their music. I do have to agree sometimes I do feel he strains on some songs, and that could be due to the song either being out of his range or improper technique as you've mentioned, because his throat shouldn't be losing his voice completely through a couple performances as the could be concerning for his voice over time.
That doesn't mean he CANT SING. You are not an army if you're giving leeway for people to hate on Jimin. This video isn't for constructive criticism, its hate and you are supporting it.

So am new to kpop I joined after going to Hyde park where blackpink performed I came across this video I immediately searched jimin bad vocals here on yt instead of me believing trends and I saw 3 videos of him 1 with charlie puth his voice was really bad 2 the encore video they sang ON song and 3 this like crazy encore those are the video every creator use to make fun of him I check more and didn’t find any I searched for jimin good vocals from 2013 till now even thier live recording in studio and so many jimin got this beautiful and angelic voice that no one in kpop have am going to appreciate that

Y'all, please understand that Jimin's voice has deteriorated over the years because he's been singing in a register that is not suitable for his voice. And it's not only this performance where is voice sounds strained and unstable. You can blame Hybe if you like because they are known to not give their idols vocal training but at this point it's his responsibility to find a good vocal coach. There are literal 2nd gen idols who still get vocal training and a few 3rd and 4th gen idols as well. If he wants to continue singing, he really needs to rest his voice and find a good teacher

Not only jimin but bighit ruined V's vocals too by forcing to sing him in high pitch. I don't think jimin was ever forced to sing in low pitch, BTS songs are always high pitched that's why jin is always forced as well and then antis drag him. Jin and made excellent decision by choosing not to work with bighit, TA is one of my most favourite kpop works and jin sounds comfortable and V cemented his place in my heart again as an amazing vocalist after layover. Jimin chose pdogg that means he's comfortable with him.

Tbh the clip that is shown with Jimin actually sounds fine (btw this is coming from someone with 10 years of singing experience and has relative pitch); it was only the lower notes that he fumbled a little; then again, I don’t know how he sounded with the backing track, but just isolating his vocals, he sounds fine
In my own personal opinion, there are two K-pop groups that are top tier when it comes to Live, power, soulful, vocals, from their debut until now…EXO and MAMAMOO.

Yes, i agree that some of the idols shown here have unstable live vocals but i feel like it also gets down to the occasion; for example when idols sing after they've recieved some award or something they tend to get emotional, excited and sometimes even cry due to being overwhelmed which can make their voice sound bad(?)but yes there are some idols which geniunely have quite unstable vocals.

I think EVERY K-pop idol deserves to be treated like a human, including those in the popular groups like IVE that just get bashed for no good reason.
I study music, and when it comes to shuhua she isnt at all a bad singer but instead, I dont think she understands the concept of rhythm and tone making her live vocals sound unstable. When recording for nxde, soyeon was kinda teaching shuhua about rhythm during her part `how do I look` how, do, and look both land on downbeats and I is on an upbeat, and it was a kinda clear she understand it. Now about tone, as you can hear here compared to the other members she sounds extremely off key. Most of (g)-idle is really good with tuning which is why a lot of them sound the same live and in music videos. If you listen to the raw vocal recording compared to the music video shuhua part sounds extremely flat in the live recording. Thank you so much for reading!

I think that's due to her I*zone days since Japanese idols are only really used for their charm and visuals so companies don't provide them with proper vocal training. I think hybe is giving ger better vocal training tho so we'll see how she improves in the future

I'm here to defend kkura and heres the thing. I was a fan of kkura and I always wondered why she never had lines both izone and as lsf but I she said in the documentary that she she knew how much she gets hated for her voice she even mentioned how down she felt because of that to the point that she was afraid to come on stage again. I've never really seen kkura in that perspective before and I respect her so much for still continuing as an idol in korea. Theres also a saying that Japanese idols are more about their personalities and entertainment more than their talent, it's kind of true but kkura is no less than an all rounded idol from improving her dance skills, her expressions she seen doing so well. I love seeing sakura grow, regardless of how good or bad she is at certain days. She's doing amazing.

Maybe HYBE isn't focused on vocal training or hiring a good vocal coach. Just look at Jimin's live singing skills; he never improved. Jungkook, on the other hand, is a good singer because he hired a personal vocal coach. Pledis' vocal coach is better than HYBE's, yet HYBE doesn't utilize them, despite them being part of HYBE. HYBE believes in the development of advanced autotune/AI to artificially enhance idols' voices

depending on the type of performance id say some would be understandable like in ateez even if they sing live most of the time the choreos are really hard hitting so if they ever have a bad day it wouldnt matter much same goes for groups who go all out with dance moves during performances and in turn loose stamina but if an idol is just standing and still cant hold a note properly then they need to train more

Y'all keep dragging groups like blackpink, aespa, ive but if you watch their encore stages after inkigayo win, they are stable and can actually sing, people are dragging them because of 10s shortened clips spread by antis where they are obviously tired from singing multiple songs LIVE, like I don't say drag the other idols too but keep the same energy and tone down the hate
