    I think those dried flowers/dried foliage you have lying on the shelves would look great in the basket hanging on the wall right above it!

    My boyfriends German Shepard had the same thing. She unfortunately passed away and was in a lot of pain 😰 I don’t want to bring you down at all, it’s important to do as much as you can and give lots of love. They were using a cannabis topical cream on their dog that helped, they make it at home and run a small business. I’d be happy to ship you a container no charge for Oakey.

    Hey girl! Just responding to your mop question! I use a Rubbermaid reveal mop. I got mine from Walmart. It doesn’t run off battery, it comes with washable pads that you can buy extra of and you fill it with your own desired cleaner! I use my own I make from citrus peels and vinegar!!! 10/10 recommend. I’d never go back to my swifter.

    i dont know much about dog infections/allergies but i know that Nicole Skyes (youtuber) her little bulldog had a skin condition that looked kinda similar and she said switching to a raw diet helped. Of course check with your vet and everything but thought it would be worth mentioning!

      My dog also suffered from skin allergies and what he ate did determine the severity of it. But like OP said, please talk to a vet.

    Libman Spray mop with washable pads! I do hot water and vinegar as my floor cleaner in the refillable mop base. And the pads are super sticky Velcro and wash really well.

    My German Shepherd had a skin infection when she was about 7/8 months. Our vet gave us antibiotics, which fortunately seemed to work well for her. We also switched flea medicines, switched diets (a better grain-based puppy formula with NO red dyes), and switched soaps (detergent & fragrance free). It’s hard to say which worked separately and which didn’t. But altogether they seemed to help her. I’m sure your vet has gone through everything, but ours was originally worried about parasites/fungus. Maybe more research will finally find something to help Oaky. Prayers for your sweet pup.

    I don't know what foods you feed your babies, but maybe look into the ingredients? I've seen very many puppy problems go away with a change in food. Maybe look into the raw diet for him?

    For your pup, have you guys tried Apoquel for itching?? It’s an amaaazing anti itch pill for dogs thats very safe. Also the urinary issues is very odd for having a skin infection. That might be an underlying issue of anxiety or a UTI.

    • @14spazmonkey
      @14spazmonkey 5 років тому

      Also, you could try an injection of Cytopoint. That is also an anti itch medication but lasts for about a month. He could also have atopic dermatitis which you could try asking your vet for a medication called Atopica!

    I am new to your channel and I am not sure how old Oakey is, I have an older dog and he kinda “leaks” like that on accident but if he is a younger dog it could be something affecting his kidney functions and some antibiotics can cause that...I hope he is better now. What happened to your day bed?

    My german shepherd had been having the same issue and come to find out it really was her diet because she was allergic to everything we started making her food and giving her a can of sardines in water a day and her skin has cleared completely up!!!

  • @DJoy222
    @DJoy222 5 років тому

    If indeed it is skin allergies he is suffering from Apoquel is a goddessend! I used to be a veterinary technician for 11 years, but I had to stop awhile ago so don't feel confident giving you that sort of advice like I'd use to. That said- my Pug wouldn't stop licking her feet and her belly would get so red and Apoquel really helped- it's not cheap though unfortunately. Diet is a big thing as well. I really pray for him to feel better- he seems like such a sweet little soul- all your pups do! 😌😘

    Our German Shepherd is the same, he’s ALWAYS SOOOO ITCHY he’ll bite and bite at his fur, nothing has helped with his itching and balding if you get a helpful medication or diagnoses or something can you update us ?! Love you and your doggies !

    • @DJoy222
      @DJoy222 5 років тому +2

      Apoquel is magic!! Ask your veterinarian about it. My Pug takes it daily and it was the only medication that stopped her from constantly licking her paws and hoo-ha😬 that wasn't highly damaging to the body like Prednisone. It isn't the cheapest, because only one company has the rights to it- but it's worth it! Good luck!

      Oaks was on Apoquel since February and this all happened over the last month. Didn't work for us. But I've heard it's magic on other dogs! We took him off it a week ago and now he's on a new anti-biotic that is finally killing his skin bacteria, and he's on steroids. It was out last resort but he's finally healing and once we get him to a good spot we will have to try other avenues.

    You are such an amazing pet parent. My 6 year old also has had issues with skin allergies. She gets blisters on her tummy and a bit on her nose and then they become infected. She has been on antibiotics and steroid shots. I really don’t like the steroid shots but she has only received a few and it seems like they really helped. I also wipe her tummy and her coat everyday just in case if she has some allergens on her. I bought her immune supporters in the form of chews but I really haven’t been feeding them to her so I’m not sure how that is going. I hope your baby gets better!

    Tasha, I'm so sorry Oakey is sick. I have a 12-14 year old Rottie (we rescue so we don't know exactly how old she is but the vet thinks she's this old), who started dribbling and full on peeing and she couldn't stop herself. We got doggy diapers and pads and she felt better. This went on for quite awhile because 2 vets didn't know what was wrong. The third one hit it right on. Our Mya had accumulated crystals in her bladder which formed a larger crystal. After surgery, we couldn't believe the size of the crystal that all the little crystals had grown together and made. She's made a full recovery, but still pees randomly sometimes. There are no crystals, so our vet isn't sure what is wrong.

    Everytime I watch your videos I'm thinking.. I would like to hang out and thrift with this girl. I like her vibe. I was thinking "After a day I'd be impregnated with her spirit and her style", then I was like.. wait, that has to be wrong, lost in translation... I meant like imbued, or infused with, which in my native french is "être imprégné de".. pretty sure impregnated means something else entirely! lmao I do that sometimes, translating things a bit too literally without realizing it may sound really wrong and funny to native speakers.. lol This time I caught myself in the act, so I can laugh along.. but oh my, how I must've embarrassed myself over the years!
