My parents had a summer house on Windsor Ave in A.C. We used to spend weekends during the "off season" at the house. Many great memories. I recognize many of those places where the video was taken. I remember saying to someone 10 yrs ago that I missed the 1970's and 1980's in Atlantic City. They could not understand why. True the Atlantic City of the 1st part of the 20th century was more glamorous / prosperous. However, I was born in 1971. As decrepit as A.C. was in the 1970's and 1980's, it was the people and the memories we made that were special. Childhood innocence.
I was 12 and grew up in Brigantine at the time. I remember going to the boardwalk at least once or twice every summer in the '70's with my family and maybe a friend or two , going on rides and maybe seeing a movie. Wonderful memories as a kid, i miss it

I lived in Atlantic City before the casinos from 1956 to 1963. I have many wonderful memories as a kid growing up there.
Thanks for posting this. It brings back my childhood memories seeing all the old school rides and attractions at AC.
Thank you for sharing
Thank you! This is fantastic film at an interesting time for old AC. I was a local who surfed those beaches. Much appreciated!
Love it. Went there for the first time sometime in 1980 so this is pretty much what I saw

@@Deputterst I went to St. Phillips from 73-76. Kindergarten to 3rd grade, after that went to Central School and then North School.
Glad we got Peanut World in there!
When AC had only one casino and was about to open its second one
Amazing
We always stayed at the Claridge hotel back then!
What building is that 2:21 ?
Looks like the facade of the old warner movie theater, now at balley's.
I hope your parens are alive and well
Sad
Unrecognizable to me. A waste of my time.
