I will definitely check this film out. Another wonderfully cerebral and slow paced film that you might enjoy is "The Station Agent." It has a star-studded cast, but most of them were working actors at the time, with a well written premise and intelligent dialog. Everyone involved gave a great performance.
Nice review. I didn't know what to makke of this movie until I saw what your other favorites are and the others are all lovely movies, so I'm definitely watching Perfect Days now.
I never put the two together in my mind, but having watched Perfect days recently it makes so much sense. So much of the vibe has that magical realism / introspective feel, very Murakami!
Haruki Murakami is a Japanese author who writes mainly stories about unassuming men leading tedious lives who get pulled into surreal and strange scenarios. His books are really unique and kind of lack a traditional plot. Not exactly the same as Perfect Days but a similar enough energy that I thought the two might compliment each other.
Loved this movie!!
Fantastic review as well!
Thank you! :)

Yeah! I knew it was a good film because I immediately wanted to watch it again
You were spot on. I just finished the movie, and loved it.
It’s so good, I’m already ready to watch it again
Love this movie, but who is Haruki Murakami?
