    Forget Tomlin he's a Steeler. Let's get Aaron Glenn with the belief he will be our Tomlin.

      That’s what I’m hoping for I want Aaron Glenn and I want the GM assistant (Spielman) from Detroit also. This way you have two guys who know each other have synergy like each other and respect each other and we know that that organization and Aaron Glenn hold players accountable.

    I know he has a great record. But if he can't win a playoff game without an elite QB and we don't have an elite QB why would we give up picks like he's the missing piece. I know he's a very popular guy to talk about but I honestly never liked him that much. If we were signing him as a free agent I wouldn't complain, but I would not give up significant draft capital for him. Tomlin is a no nonsense guy which we think we want but he will clash with the media so hard, i don't believe that would last long as a marriage. Glenn and Ryan have been the only feasible options to me because it seems they actually want the job. Which is going to mean alot. I secretly really like josh mccown even with out the oc experience, his career experience more than makes up for it.

    Tomlin fits the Steelers System that's been in place since what 1970...
    they draft well, they get players who fit their template, ALWAYS have a great running game/Oline, defense etc. Their success is a result of solid decisions made in the Front Office IMHO.
    Do we have an example of a Steeler coach winning after leaving that franchise ?

    Tomlin does great with mediocre teams. The Ravens had way more talent on the field than the Steelers. If the Jets could get him, that would be awesome, but they would still be severely hampered without a QB. If I were Pittsburg, I'd keep him and try to get better receivers.

  • @BrandonR-mg9xt
    @BrandonR-mg9xt 16 годин тому +2

    Not every successful coach has the passion, energy and innovation to run it back in a new situation after doing it for so long. Especially if he needs to be the focal point of a complete cultural rebuild. Unless behind closed channels Tomlin is really asking for this, I would probably prefer they not pursue him. I also don't agree about giving up draft compensation for a team who is unlikely to be ready to win next year. Overpaying to solve problems is not the way; they just need to get their hiring cycle correct like other good teams did.

    Pittsburgh owns Tomlinson’s rights. They are not gonna give him up without asking for draft in return, and that’s good a coach as he is they’re gonna want multiple first and second round picks. Just think if we were the Steelers, why would we give up a proven winning asset by releasing him for nothing?

  • @jamaaljoseph4275

    Why would he come here? No qb, he would be in a worse situation with a 100% unstable owner

  • @AStewSr
    @AStewSr 7 годин тому

    Even if he is … do we really want to give up the draft Capital needed to get him? It’s not worth giving up multiple first and second round picks when that would leave the talent on this team in mediocrity for the next 2 or 3 seasons. And you know with the way some of our players are upset already, they’d be walking out the door, so you basically would need to do a complete rebuild and start over.
    We finally have 4/5 of a good Oline. If we draft DT Mason Graham and pair him with Quinnen Williams. It will change our defense and make it a top 5 Defense that can finally stop the run and get to the QB.
    We lost six or more by less than three points mostly because we could not stop the run on third Downs and get the other team off the field. The most embarrassing Loss was to the Colts because the whole fourth quarter they could not punt and they converted every 4th down on a run play winning the game with the quarterback sweep with 30 seconds left on the clock.
    If Mason is gone then OTs Will Campbell and Kelvin Banks Jr are the only other REAL OPTIONS we should consider in Rd1. Drafting either of those BLUE CHIP OTs Would complete the offensive line rebuild. We already have three really good running backs with Malachi Qualey as a hybrid WR/RB. If we keep Davante Adams and draft one of the really good TEs in the second round this offense could be amazing, even if Aaron Rodgers stays.

    I like Tomlin but "Stop it!!!" Mike Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game since 2016! (And the Steelers have been favorites in many of those!) He's been living off that SB win that the refs and the league gave them and stole from the Seahawks!
    I don't want a coach that just gets you to the playoffs, but then lays an egg and never gets over the hump! It seems the game has past Tomlin by! There are plenty of alfa coaches out there other than Mike Tomlin!!! The Steelers are supposed to be tough, run the ball and stop the run team They did neither against their division rival last night!!! It's been the same thing since 2016!
