Trading with a funded Forex account is beneficial not only because it is less risk for you but also because you are not risking your own capital. Being able to trade with a funded account and keeping proper risk management will allow you to keep a 1 to 2 risk to reward ratio, risking only 1%, and still being very profitable and consistent. If you are a profitable trader already having a larger account will be very beneficial to you.

How Does Proprietary Trading Work?
Proprietary trading, which is also known as "prop trading," occurs when a trading desk at a financial institution, brokerage firm, investment bank, hedge fund or other liquidity source uses the firm's capital and balance sheet to conduct self-promoting financial transactions. These trades are usually speculative in nature, executed through a variety of derivatives or other complex investment vehicles.
Benefits of Proprietary Trading
There are many benefits that proprietary trading provide a financial institution or commercial bank, most notably higher quarterly and annual profits. When a brokerage firm or investment bank trades on behalf of clients, it earns revenues in the form of commissions and fees.
The second benefit is that the institution is able to stockpile an inventory of securities. This helps in two ways. First, any speculative inventory allows the institution to offer an unexpected advantage to clients.
The final benefit is associated with the second benefit. Proprietary trading allows a financial institution to become an influential market maker by providing liquidity on a specific security or group of securities.
An Example of a Proprietary Trading Desk
In order for proprietary trading to be effective and also keep the institution's clients in mind, the proprietary trading desk is normally "roped off" from other trading desks. This desk is responsible for a portion of the financial institution's revenues, unrelated to client work while acting autonomously.
However, proprietary trading desks can also function as market makers, as outlined above. This situation arises when a client wants to trade a large amount of a single security or trade a highly illiquid security.

10 years is a long time, much longer than average to be fair, but that doesn't matter!
(depends on how much time you could spend on trading in that time)
Took me 5 years - out of which 2 years (!!) full time living of my savings.
In those 2 years, I dedicated 3500 hours to it while dwindling my savings.
After 1500 hours I STILL sucked!
Then, quite suddenly actually (but just because all the hours spent) something ¨clicked¨.
I still have a lot to improve, learn, implement, try, etc - but the past 2 profitable years paid for every single dollar of my savings invested, and then some.
DON´T QUIT!!!!!

Hi Arty , I am a big fan...keep these videos coming man! I have a something you could test and give to your viewers. How to tell if you are in a sideways markey! There is a free indicator called ADX change settings to 5 and draw a horizontal line at 30. If everything sets up like you say and the reading s below 30 dont trade unless reading is above 30!
