@ongabonga4378 Its real though, rein is bad in higher ranks because people get better at dodging one slow ass guy with a hammer. If they adjust him to make him more useful in these higher rank games, IT WILL (without a doubt) result in rein becoming extremely strong in all the metal ranks, and if hes better in high elo than he will also be the only tank played because he will be the only viable one in that situation. Balancing competitive games is hard, you have pros to balance around while you also have your community of ranked players. If you get good at rein then you can learn how to effectively apply his utility at any rank and just ignore the people saying hes bad while climbing into top 500 with "a bad hero". However now in this same situation if he gets buffed then there would be rein one tricks filling top 500 that dont belong there just boosted by buffed rein.
Now I dont mean to be rude in any way but just trying to state the fact that yeah balancing is really hard, genji would be stronger and more useful in all ranks if his shurikens did 3 more damage each, however again, now the good genjis that hit headshots get 3 more dmg per shuriken so 9 more per shot, and if they hit even one headshot thats 18 extra free damage for one shot, that comes from a buff of only 3 flat damage in patch notes.
As long as if you get good at someone you are able to climb with them then they dont need a buff is the general rule of balancing in these games, as if they did this same person would now stomp every game with them.
This all being said I love playing rein and would love for him to get some more survivability, he got a dmg buff on firestrike so again only if youre good and consistently hit them does it mean anything, but if they buffed swing dmg then every player could roll on him. I hope reading a high elo players perspective on this can maybe help you understand more why they need to balance things the way they do.
@@SuperGibby Just practice and ignore the people calling him bad, think of the reins that play in grandmaster with teamates saying their throwing for their pick, they still made it to gm with rein, just takes some practice and patience, maybe a lot of both as well. Good luck though! You can look up training maps for rein that helps teach you how to set up positioning and charges on some maps, but one good thing about rein is he is so simple in his utility that getting good at him is 99% fundamentals, so don't worry about an individual hero, just have fun playing the game and as you do you'll learn things in and improve! Then you take what you learnt and dominate with rein. Patience is everyone's enemy when it comes to things like this though. It takes time
Trust me rein is still very powerful in bronze/silver even gold but plat and anythin further is getting you nightmares that you dont want to play him anymore. Because the dps hits almost any shot and healer getting more dps thats the thing.
Oh and highground and good positioning has much more value in higher ranked games and you cant do much about it in most cases against a widow, ashe, echo, lifeweafer, tracer, dva, doom and so..

Hey I play tank a lot and I’m nothing special I’m only in diamond but one big thing that could help is watching your gameplay and realizing your mistakes and learning from it. For example in the first minute of the video you were using your Orisa abilities when they weren’t necessarily like when you fortified for armor although you were full health entering a fight with a rein at a far distance. The spears to stop his charges were great but you don’t need to spin your spear to block fire strikes at that distance just move out of the way. When you died to the honzo on the first map it shows how when you push to far without supports when your greedy and cost your team to wait for their tank to respawn for the next team fight. Your first play of the second map was unnecessary their was no reason you should push up on that bridge against five players that are shooting at you instead, hide behind the wall next to the bridge and spear them off the map and be defensive as your team takes control of the point.😀great job though I loved your effort and how self aware you are you will be in gold in no time
I love watching these back as I edit the videos because I notice more of what I’m doing wrong and I really appreciate people like you who come in and just offer some genuine advice! I know I have a bad habit of using my abilities off cooldown and it’s something I’ve been working on!
@@SuperGibby I use them off cooldowns also because if you wait to use ultimates and abilities your just lowering the total amount of times you can use them in one game although their is a difference between a wasted ability off cooldown and a ability that you at least seek to use to have the max amount of positive outcome. It might not win a team fight but if it can kill one person or keep one teammate alive it’s a huge swing in a fight which could lead you to a victory

Also if youre serious about improving I'd be happy to talk to you about my experience with this game. I agree you do not belong in bronze, however there is plenty of mistakes that I would love to make you aware of, only if youd like (as I feel if I start listing things it'll point me out as rude or a hater, but I just want to share my knowledge and experience)
