This video was one of their very first ever released songs, it came out in 2017-18. They are even MORE polished now and have almost 50 killer songs of several different genres of metal - from heavy thrash to speed metal to power metal to progressive metal to hard rock to rock to soft ballads. They are freaking phenomenal. Midori and Miyako should be considered among the greatest guitar duos of all time. They won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band.
Did you ask about the ballad? LOVEBITES "Epilogue . Do you want thrash? LOVEBITES "Set the World on Fire", "Thunder Vengeance". If you want classical piano with metal? LOVEBITES "Chopin Etude" &"Swan Song". Interested in metal swing? LOVEBITES "The Unbroken". Interesting closer to hard rock ? LOVEBITES "Dancing with the Devil". Well, etc. LOVEBITES are multifaceted 🤗
The moment when you know you are in for a good reaction. ''Do you guys know who Lovebites is?....Ummm....no'' I was that guy a few years ago. There is nothing better than watching 5 tiny ladies from Japan kick ass in the universal language of metal. Lovebites is now in my top five favorite metal bands of all time.
Haruna "little BIG Engine" drums 🧡 (4'9"; 1.45m) Asami "The One & Only Voice" vocals/piano ❤ (4'10"; 1.47m) Midori "Crazy Shredder" guitar 💚 (4'11"; 1.5m) Miyako "The Golden Touch" guitar/piano 💙 (5'2"; 1.58m) Miho "Natural Born Head-Banger" bass 💜 (5'1"; 1.55m) nicknames given by the band When you get to "Thunder Vengeance" LIVE 2020 you will 'get' the colors ... Welcome to LOVEBITES Wolf-Pack! 🐺
"Lovebites - taking old school Heavy/Power/Thrash Metal to the next level since 2016!" :) They also do Hard Rock and Progressive Metal - I have never heard another band doing all these different subgenres and getting anywhere close to the level at which Lovebites play, especially as regards their live performances. Whatever song you pick - you can't go wrong!
Musicvideos with Lovebites: When Destinies Align, Glory to the world and Winds of Transylvania. Live: Holy War from 2021, Set the world on fire from 2021, Swan song + Chopin intro from 2020.... well rest of the song choose the live versions. Not from Bloodstock (bad sound on those) but those 3 MV I mentioned... the videos is accenting the songs that the live version doesn't. Not that the live versions are bad, they are awesome but.. those MV makes it a little notch up!If You want to see a ballad-ish.. Frozen Serenade (live from 2021)
All Glory to LOVEBITES and all my brothers and sisters in The Wolf Pack everywhere. DUDES it's 5, how can anyone be through the solos and still not see 5, as in FIVE Bandmembers. Not 3, not 4 but 5...lol
Then missing that there were 5 was so dam annoying I had trouble concentrating on the reaction. LOL. Not critiquing them because I loved their reaction. More it was just driving me crazy.
@@ChadTheDragonLord Hey there, yeah I've been around I just got out of watching reactions for a while, and when I did I usually never commented. Been in a LoveBites reactions mood lately though so showin' the loveeeee.
Excellent reaction guys. Lovebites are a once a generation band. They are better than the sum of their parts. You have to have heard at least three or four of their almost 50 strong catalogue to understand their appeal. They have amassed a very dedicated following for one very simple reason. They write and perform excellent music, without exception..ever. Live is indistinguishable from studio and whilst they are ridiculously talented they are as down to earth as its possible to be. They haven’t written two songs that sound similar and there is no such thing as album filler.
I’m glad you guys liked LOVEBITES and I agree with the analogies you have mentioned in this reaction and I know that you are going to love their live performances to. As someone who has been listening to metal for over 40 years I can say with absolute certainty that this band is the real deal and they don’t disappoint
Reactions to music are best when reacted by musicians and it shows here. You guys are spot on with the analysis especially the guy with the headphones knows his stuff. Lovebites is an awesome band with different styles of metal music and you should really check out their live performances. Keep rockin' 🤘
Im a huge LOVEBITES fan and I totally get where Ralph is coming from, i grew up on Slipknot and for years they were my fav band, but then i started paying attention to more intricate guitar work and it changed my metal world forever!! The guitar twin attack from LOVEBITES is insane, they are world class musicians as you will find out as you react to them!! Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Pantera, Slayer are just some of their influences, they play many styles from ballads to speed metal. I will leave a few songs from different styles so you can see the variety!! Ballad "Empty Daydream" - ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html Thrash metal "Break the Wall" - ua-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/v-deo.html Power Metal "Holy War" - ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html Awesome reaction guys!! Enjoy!! 🤘
I began my metal journey when I was 11 in 1971 when I heard "The Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin. I've heard a lot of great metal from a lot of great bands over 5 decades. I have always leaned towards thrash and speed metal. But I love power, death, heavy, progressive, djent etc etc. I am a 63 year old metalhead. Quick perspective. ELP was a favorite band of mine, and Keith Emerson became my favorite musician ever, and had been ever since. I grew up playing piano. Led Zeppelin was my favorite band for decades until I found Opeth. Opeth had been my favorite band since then. But so many more. Exodus to this day is my favorite thrash band. Meshuggah with their djent is mind blowing. Power Trip, Megadeth, Slayer, Grip Inc, and hundreds of other bands that have crossed my path (probably thousands actually). Their appeal: With 50+ years of metal listening behind me, earlier in 2022 I stumbled on this band called Lovebites. I am in the Wolfpack, but many others date back to pre-Lovebites, and they're also more so versed in the Japanese metal scene. Lovebites stands above them all to me. Never heard a band blend power/thrash/speed/heavy metal like they do. I've never felt like I'm listening to 40 years of metal all at once. In some of their songs you hear every genre they blend, modernizing old school without burying it. For example, Break the Wall is now my favorite thrash song (my favorite was Classed Dismissed by Exodus). It brings me back to the glory years of the late 70's through the early 90's. But it sounds so fresh and new. And polished!!! Every note so clean and precise, played at incredible speed. Long songs, not the shorter 3-4 minute length which sometimes leaves you longing for more. That's their appeal. It's such a revelation to me. They are now my all time favorite band. Sorry for the long winded response. I could go on talking about each member. I could request so many songs for you to react to. But I'll save that for next time. Great reaction.
Thank you Jonathan. Love long comments dude. Say what you need to say lol 🤘 I agree with you. They strike a nostalgia without just sounding a certain way. They've made it their own. They definitely have their own voice. But their sound pays homage to the treats before them as well. So glad you dig our content! 🤘
A bit of history of arguably one of the best bands to come out of the past 5 years. Haruna (the drummer) and Miho (the bassist in this video) started this band, as they had come from a previous band together, named Destrose. They brought in Midori as a guitarist, Asami (who started her career as a R'n'B singer), and then Miyako as another guitarist (who is also a classically trained pianist). a couple of EPs and 4 albums later, they are the best band out there. Miho recently left the band (she had a lot going on personally in her life, including her father passing away), so the band was on a short hiatus (Miyako and Asami also had children). You're right in the fact that their sound is that old school power metal sound (Iron Maiden (Miho models her bass playing off of Steve Harris), Judas Priest, Helloween (Haruna's favorite Band), Pantera (Miyako plays Dean guitars specifically because of Dimebag Darrell), and the Big 4). That's what they were looking for. They were so good at it that they were the only Japanese band at the time to play Wacken Open Air in Germany, plus the only Japanese band to ever be signed to a western world label: Nuclear Blast Records, which is the same label that Nightwish, Sabaton, and Jinjer are on. Your next job for this band is to see what they do live. I'd start with Holy War, from their Five of a Kind show, at Zepp DiverCity, in Tokyo. From there, you'll get even more suggestions, as they go much heavier and harder than power metal. You're in for a ride!
Thanks for your reaction 🤘 Try out the live shows....Break the Wall, Hammer of Wrath, Swan Song (with Chopin intro) , Winds of Transylvania. Glory to Lovebites 🤘 🐺 🔥 Miho! Miho! Miho! 🤘🐺🔥🔥🔥
I haven't heard a bad song from them yet. Their 2019, 2020 and 2021 Tokyo gigs are all first-class. One of the guitarists (Miyako) is a concert standard pianist so you'll see that incorporated in a few of their numbers. The singer Asami comes from a soul background (and studied ballet) and all that gets thrown in the mix as well.
Miho (bass) no doubt had Eddie posters on her wall. Iron Maiden's her favourite band, Steve Harris is her main influence, she wanted to start a band that played that particular style of 80s metal that she loves because nobody was doing it anymore. Classic NWOBHM, European Power Metal, old school Thrash, etc. All done with a modern touch and through a Japanese and female lens, which makes for some amazing contrasts along with some really comfortable familiarity. They're awesome. All five (count 'em, 5) of them. Sadly, Miho, bassist and leader, who conceptualized this band and coaxed Haruna (drums) out of retirement to form it, left a little over a year ago and they've been on hiatus ever since, but looks like that's about to change in a few days, so check out their official channel and don't miss it.
Thanks for reacting to amazing Lovebites and spreading the word; they deserve more recognition. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. They really shine in their live performances. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they’re redefining metal. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. They toured Europe in 2018 and 2019 (performed at Wacken Open Air, Germany, in 2018; and toured the UK with Dragonforce in 2019) Currently the band is in the process to announce the new bassist. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestions are “Thunder vengeance”, “Set the world on fire”, “Break the wall”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Raise some hell”, “Scream for me”, “When destinies align”, “The crusade”, “Dancing with the devil”, “Above the Black Sea”, “Under the red sky”, “Addicted”, “Don’t bite the dust”, “Winds of Transylvania”, and for a different side of them: “Chopin Etude + Swan song”, “Empty daydream”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue”, “Glory to the world”, “Frozen serenade”, “Spellbound”, “Today is the day” (all live, but “When destinies align”, “Winds of Transylvania” and Glory to the world” have excellent MV). Lineup: Haruna - Drums Miho - Ex Bass, backing vocals Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals Asami - Lead vocals, some piano
If you want to see them live I would suggest you to see the same song in one of the live shows in 2020 or 2021 to find the difference between live and video....and live is an experience....
Look man you can't always judge a book by its cover and there is five girls two guitar players singer drummer bass player. I think today they're about to make an announcement it's been going on Facebook. Break the wall, are really ,really good and Set the world on fire is another really good one
Great that you want to do a live one next. Most fans will tell you they are even more impressive live. I would agree. Actually, nothing makes you really prepared for how good they are live. "Set the World on Fire" or "Holy War" are two good options.
One of the best reactions I have seen! =) Its fun to think they have only been together for something like a year, when they do this! And honestly I am no big fan of their videos, since its a ton more fun to watch them play live. And then as polished and prefect. They are insane. They do very different things, so no problems to get variation. I love the thrash songs most myself. Smart idea to get all albums...I have them on vinyl too, myself. They have not made one bad track. I dont know if you can find "Winds of Transylvania" live version. Probably not, since its from a DVD, but its an insane song. The video is good, but still Lovebites should be enjoyed live! One note...how about you people counting? Three or four? You decided four! Drummer, two guitarists, bassist and vocalist...whats the sum?
There are currently two clips with the live version of "Winds of Transylvania" on YT, one with Asami's introductory words - ua-cam.com/video/gzxReWzHIuA/v-deo.html - and a shorter one without them - ua-cam.com/video/qd_qop5j1bs/v-deo.html -, but I don't know if they are blocked in some regions.
yes guys, they're phenomenal talented musician. should also watch 'em live, mindblowing what these ladies can do. best metal band right now. wellcome to heavy metal realm of Lovebites🤘🤘🔥🔥
Great reaction. (from a metalhead in his 50's) Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Slayer, Pantera, All that remains, Queen, Children of Bodom, Avenged Sevenfold, Extreme, Dokken, Halestorm, Gary Moore.. all of them are bands that they mention when asked about another bands or guitarist. but the main of their influences i think are Helloween, Angra, Kamelot, Iron Maiden and Metallica (their favourite bands)
if you want to hear Lovebites their best songs are Holy War, Break the Wall, Burden of Time studio Live, Thunder Vengeance, Rising Raise Some Hell, Edge of the World, Set The World On Fire, Glory to the World Music Video, Swan Song with Chopin intro, Epilogue, Empty Daydream, When Destines Align and Eagles Fly Free Studio everyone is live except the ones i said were music video and studio please react to them all and please let me know what you think
This band has no peer. It's the music. They are for real. They even sound better live. The two guitarist Miyako and Midori, there is no better duo.🤘🏾🤘🏾You guys haven''t seen anything yet. By the way the drummer is tireless. I have to take a nap after watching their concerts.
@@ALHSY Haruna (drummer) used to be a nutritionist in Japanese high schools her nickname by the band “Little Big Engine” we fans (Wolfpack) call her 4’9” Pocket Nuke because she is a human metronome powered by a nuclear fusion reactor and once she gets going she just doesn’t stop.
nothing can go wrong when you put 3 classical trained musicians together....one of them (Miyako, dean guitar) with a facility to compose masterpieces out of nowhere......welcome to the WOLFPACK
There's nothing I can say about Lovebites that the Wolfpack hasn't already! Lovebites is on top of the heavy metal mountain and Midori and Miyako are the top guitar duo in the industry today 🤘🏻🐺🤘🏻 #LOVEBITESRULEZ #WOLFPACK4EVER #SGBC4LIFE
Thanks for a good reaction. But it's a pity you didn't play a live version of the track. They are best live, where they show that they are all top class musicians. They play all metal genres from the eighties. The best metal band I have heard in 42 years. UP THE IRONS🤘
@@jay_g1984 "When Destinies Align" is an excellent music video (sound, cinematography, costumes, direction). I would suggest watching both the music video and the live performance of "When Destinies Align" in concert in 2021. Better for one reaction. Both versions of the song (MV and life) are at a high level and are equal in quality to each other. However, like everything that LOVEBITES does (audio albums, live performances, music videos)
Since the intro mentioned mimes, there is an epidemic of mime abductions going on. The problem is that no one talks about it. Miho, the bass guitarist, left in August of 2021. In 2022, they held a three-stage audition process that ended in August. I do believe they know who the new bass guitarist is since just today they began what looks like a four day countdown. They will be a five piece again! LOVEBITES came about when a band called Destrose finally broke up. Two of Destrose's former members, Miho, the final bass guitarist, and Haruna, the second-to-last drummer, wanted to form a new band, something closer to to what Miho grew up listening to. They knew two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, from the Japanese music festival scene. Midori's band, Gekijo☆METALicche, had just broken up, and Miyako was able to come on as a support musician. They found Asami, the LOVEBITES vocalist, when she put out a demo where she sang rock music, specifically "Love Bites (So Do I)" by Halestorm. Asami had previously been a backing vocalist for a couple of rock bands and had done her own soul and R&B stuff. When the five of them got together, they played that Halestorm song, named themselves after it, and knew they had something. Miyako was eventually made a permanent member. Now we're three albums, three EPs, and seven live releases later and there's an announcement coming.
Midori, the guitarist who solos first and is now blonde, is playing an ESP E-II FRX and uses Kemper amps and Marshall cabs. After their second album, she ditched the FRX (though she still has it) and started using a "reindeer blue" ESP E-II Horizon. If you see her playing a black Horizon, it's because she keeps that one tuned to drop D. Miyako, the other guitarist, is playing a Dean USA Icon that she's had for years. She still plays it, but she often switches to a Dean Switchblade ML or, more recently, her signature Dean V. I've heard she has a new signature USA Icon since Dean lost the Gibson lawsuit, but I haven't looked into that yet. She plays other brands, mostly Gibson, G&L, Infinite, etc. She uses an Orange cab (including her new white signature model) and a Peavey 6505+ amp. Haruna uses Pearl drums and usually uses Sabian cymbals, though I've seen her use Meinl. Miho, the bass guitarist up until 2021, always plays an ESP Amaze. She usually plays a blue one like in this video (the lighting just makes it look purple) and later modded it with a sweet custom pickguard, but she added a black one to her rotation a year or two ago. She plays through a Darkglass stack.
Love this song and band! Iron Maiden was my favorite band for a long time, now Lovebites has taken that torch and are running with tit. Their looks is just icing on the cake, it is the music that has me captivated. I do not care how beautiful you are, if your music sucks I am not going to listen to it.
Guys you have to work on that math, you acknowledged 2 guitarists, a bassist, a drummer and a singer and still managed to count 4 members... Not hating here, just found it funny xD Whats their appeal? As one of you said, they are the light in the dark, absolutely, in many ways, they break a lot of the metal stereotypes while being undoubtedly heavy metal as f*ck. I've heard people saying Lovebites reminds them of Iron Maiden, or Slayer, or Testament, Megadeth, Judas Priest, and probably every other band you can think of, and thats correct, Lovebites are all of them and none of them at the same time, Lovebites are the culmination of Metal. Go ahead and watch the live videos, thats where the real magic happens.
Please check their live performances..they are good in live ..and there are dozens songs you should react to..and the songs are good...next reccomendation you can start with holy war live in tokyo 2020...
@ 14:13 “They bring the Thunder.” Yes… Yes they do. Listen to Thunder Vengeance, with that song you truly will understand what bring the thunder means. 🤘
Lovebites = Big 4, Testament, Priest, Maiden, Helloween and Dragonforce combined...ON STEROIDS. They are that F great. Listen to Set The World On Fire live...and I rest my case! It doesn't get any thrashier than STWOF. And not one lead guitar, but TWO and NO ONE does it better!! 🦊🐺 One add'l comment: This is a ride you DEFINITELY want to take and one thing...BUCKLE THE F*CK UP!! It's a fast and crazy ride!! 🤪
Shadowmaker was my first Lovebites experience (I saw the video about a month after release) and it blew me away and i am a devoted fan ever since from 2017). This song is an example of what they can do and also it showcases some core elements of their sound , like dual guitar solos and double guitar attack, powerful and intricate drumming, soaring vocals, poignant lyrics, rock steady bass. They are the best.
You really need to watch some LIVE songs - these girls are REAL musicians - I'd recommend " Holy War " or for something different " Swan Song " ( with the Chopin intro ) - they're even better live than in the studio
Welcome guys.. Fantastic breakdown, you all seem to understand what you have just seen.. They are a very special set of Ladies, and pull of a 2 hour set at this speed in heels.. The tallest is 5'2" and one of the reasons they wear white is so they can be seen on stage, they also push a farly pure message, their songs are all in English but the accent is quite thick, so put on the closed captions.. They pull this off live, and are really a live band.. Watch Holy war, Hammer of wrath and set the world on fire live.. There are over 40 songs and their isn't a bad one.. Do some more. Welcome to the Wolfpack..
that was a great reaction, the banter back and forth was great and fun, it was like with myself and friends talking music, the insight in the music was excellent, looking forward to more LoveBites..
There has been a long standing "truth" in the world of rock/metal: An all female band can't produce a solid hard rock/metal sound. Japan is smashing that "truth" with bands like LOVEBITES and BAND-MAID.
Great reaction! But when you get into more of their material, particularly their live concert performances where they shine the most, you’ll see that their music crosses many metal genres. They can go from heavy chugging metal (Set The World on Fire) to progressive classical speed metal (Swan Song with Chopin Intro) and everything in between. Their two guitarists are twin leads who spend countless hours together developing their timing and one of them is a classically trained world class concert pianist. You really can’t say enough about these ladies. Each of them are masters of their craft. Period!
Got here a little late, was recovering from the Band-Maid concert....so: Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. This is the song that broke them to the world. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” ua-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/v-deo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ua-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/v-deo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html; “Holy War”: ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: ua-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/v-deo.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ua-cam.com/video/G021aP2ao6Y/v-deo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ua-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/v-deo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, as you saw, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are three more of the most spectacular: "When Destinies Align" ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html "Glory to the World" ua-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/v-deo.html "Winds of Transylvania" ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
@@RavenscroftOfficialBand The group adopted the wolf as their mascot, for at least three reasons: They feel a bit like "lone wolves" in a world where most women do pop, and they are doing metal; wolves are just cool and a bit intimidating; and wolves are matriarchal, ie. the pack is headed by a female, which suits these ladies just fine.
@@RavenscroftOfficialBand They have a wolf on every album cover and DVD. Lovebites considers themselves lone wolves in the metal scene, and they have adopted the wolf as their mascot much like Eddie from Iron Maiden.
as perfect as you can get says it all. polished to the point where they blind you. and don't think they can't pull it off live . it's almost like they step up their game in concert and demand perfection. and guitarists midori and miyako write their own solos then collaborate on the dual harmonies. you will see 'holy war' and 'set the world on fire' a lot as suggestions to your first live reaction. here is a link to the set the world on fire. don't pass this one up : ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html
There are 5 of them, haha. Check put set the world on fire live, holy war, break the wall, thunder vengeance and hammer of wrath. Those are all bangers. Then the more artsy stuff, like frozen serenade and swan song.
Thanks for the reaction! LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy , power , thrash metal ! In 2018 , LOVEBITES won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" (London,UK). The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians, such as : Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy (and this is not a complete list). LOVEBITES is a Japanese female power metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass, backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The band has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times .In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese female rock band to perform at the festival. Also in August 2018 they performed on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the Download Festival in both Donington (UK) and Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts. LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented musicians! For 5 years they have recorded about 50 songs and all the songs are very good! 🐺Miho - bass, backing vocals (in August 2021 she left the band). 🐺Haruna - drums. 🐺Midori - guitars, backing vocals. 🐺Miyako (Mi-Ya)- guitars, piano, keyboards, backing vocals. 🐺Asami - lead vocals, piano. 🐺Miho started playing bass in high school. Great bass player! The fact that such a wonderful band appeared is, first of all, the merit of Miho. She came up with the idea of starting a band and what kind of music the band would play, a combination of power metal and "old school" heavy metal. Miho was able to find and unite all these talented ladies in LOVEBITES. 🐺Haruna has played drums since she was thirteen years old, and began writing songs on a keyboard at fourteen. Haruna is the smallest (4 '9 ") , but appearances are deceiving. When Haruna sits down at the drums, this is the "little BIG Engine." She is one of the best drummers in Japan. 🐺Midori (blond hair) has been playing the piano since she was two years old and the electric organ since she was eight. She started studying guitar at the age of 20. Super guitarist, "Crazy Shredder". She surpasses many male guitarists in speed and technique of playing the guitar. Graduated from ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka , GIT-DX department (superfast guitar department). ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka is an international music school , headquartered in Hollywood, California, USA. 🐺Miyako (black hair) has been playing the piano since the age of three, received a classical education (piano) and wanted to pursue a career as a pianist. She has been playing the guitar since the age of 18. Super guitarist! They call her "The Golden Touch" and she is a real musical genius. Miyako is the main composer of the band, she wrote over 50% of the music. * In terms of teamwork , synchronization and harmonization of guitars , Midori and Miyako today are perhaps the best pair of guitarists in the world playing metal. One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same band is a crime!😊 🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Started ballet lessons at the age of two. After leaving school, Asami lived for some time in the US, where she came to study jazz and hip hop dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the band's songs. All songs LOVEBITES are written in English. Unlike other metal bands, LOVEBITES are always on stage in white dresses . White dresses are their style. The Wolf is the mascot of LOVEBITES and is featured on all band's albums except the first EP "The Lovebites". The band's fans call themselves the 🐺Wolfpack🐺 * Metal Hammer included LOVEBITES' third album "Electric Pentagram" (2020) in Top 20 Metal Albums of 2020 list. * LOVEBITES' third EP "Glory, Glory, to the World" (2021) was nominated for the 2021 Global Metal Apocalypse Award as "Global Metal Release of the Year" and came in second place.
I am always impressed. Great commentary. There is only one note...about the introduction of MIDORI and MIYAKO...MIDORI didn't dye her blonde hair like she does now when this MV was made. Rather, MIYAKO looks like a thin blonde at that time. ------------ from Nippon *It is a sentence using Google translation. I hope I conveyed my intentions correctly.
@@a_un Thank you.🙏 I agree with you that when the "Shadowmaker" music video was filmed, Midori had dark hair with light ends. Miyako's hair was dark brown. The reactors said they really liked the band and would continue to do reactions to LOVEBITES songs (I hope it will) . Therefore, in order to make it clear to them in the future who is who, I immediately pointed out that Midori has blond hair, since in most of the videos to which people make reactions, she is blonde. * I guess I should have clarified that Midori had a white ESP guitar, and Miyako had a DEAN guitar .🤔
LOVEBITES - Shadowmaker lyrics: Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe But still I go on, my hunger is strong Hoping that someone will grab my hand Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world Maybe it's too late? No one can save me From all of the darkness and solitude Cry, like shadows of the night I carry all the pain inside to justify why I'm alive Despite going through this hell Cause still my heart has hope No matter if I'm torn apart, I'll play my part Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart Reckless and fast, how long will I last? Dancing like puppets, I'm empty inside Fighting the fear, and grieving the dear Hoping that someday I'll be repaid Only my echoing heartbeats can prove that I'm here Am I all alone? Even a faint light is too bright for me, I can't see a thing Hide, in shadows I reside I tremble like a heartless soul, no place to go In desolated land knowing no escape But still I wish to live Just waiting for a somebody to notice me Before I fall down to depths of the abyss SOLO: midori / mi-ya / both / miya Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe But still I go on, my hunger is strong Hoping that someone will grab my hand Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world Maybe it's too late? No one can save me from solitude Cry, like shadows of the night I tremble like a heartless soul, no place to go In desolated land knowing no escape But still I wish to live Just waiting for a somebody to notice me Before I fall down to depths of the abyss Like shadows of the night I carry all the pain inside to justify why I'm alive Despite going through this hell Cause still my heart has hope No matter if I'm torn apart, I'll play my part Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) from Awakening From Abyss 2017
If you gentlemen do more of their stuff, check them out live. They are just as synchronized live as in the studio, even the harmonizing. They must practice extremely much. The main attraction for many of us older fans, I think, is that they take the best of the 80s and bring it back with a modern flair and put their own mark on it, making it incredibly good. Their looks and outfits become unimportant after a few songs, because you realize how damn good they are. I think Japanese musicians work very hard on 'presentation'.
Ok. Subbed. I want to watch your trip down the Lovebites rabbit hole. And by the way after you get fully involved with the best metal band today on addition to the best hard Rock band today also from Japan. Band-Maid. I thought Rock was dead in America instead I found out that it went on a worker Visa over to Japan and is taking the form of 15 to 20 all female rock and hard Rock and metal bands over there.
Judas priest during the Scott Travis era.. that's the vibe I got from this.. for us older head bangers from the 90s this is like going home.. and the ladies are beautiful as well..
5 women. Haruna, drums. Midori, guitars. Miyako, guitars AND keyboards. Miho, bass. Asami, vocals. Miho has since departed and the new bassist is Fami. And these ladies also do speed and thrash that will melt your face. What is their appeal? For me it's the pure talent in this band.
My favourite band the last 5 years and the best dual guitar on the planet, live they are just amazing.
Buy their album Michael 👍...I did, and now I'm ADDICTED!...love this band so much. 🐺

The moment when you know you are in for a good reaction. ''Do you guys know who Lovebites is?....Ummm....no'' I was that guy a few years ago. There is nothing better than watching 5 tiny ladies from Japan kick ass in the universal language of metal. Lovebites is now in my top five favorite metal bands of all time.
welcome to the next level the world of Lovebites the world of beautiful ballads, heavy, power, speed, thrash metal.
First contact reactions are my favorite. Welcome to the WOLFPACK 🤘🐺🤘
This is from their first album. They are even better now haha. Do Set the World on Fire (live) next.
Haruna "little BIG Engine" drums 🧡 (4'9"; 1.45m)
Asami "The One & Only Voice" vocals/piano ❤ (4'10"; 1.47m)
Midori "Crazy Shredder" guitar 💚 (4'11"; 1.5m)
Miyako "The Golden Touch" guitar/piano 💙 (5'2"; 1.58m)
Miho "Natural Born Head-Banger" bass 💜 (5'1"; 1.55m)

When you get to "Thunder Vengeance" LIVE 2020 you will 'get' the colors ...
Welcome to LOVEBITES Wolf-Pack! 🐺
What a reaction 🤗 ! I loved your quote "if you love rock or metal, you worship the guitar" 🤘
LOVEBITES the best! There are three days left until they return, great reaction for a great song!🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🐺💖🇯🇵🇮🇹
Bloody Lovebites 🐺 I love'em
Ya need to see them in a live performance.
Frozen Serenade (live from 2021)
great reaction folks, keep on reacting more Lovebites. these ladies are world class talents. You will not find a bad song from them.
All Glory to LOVEBITES and all my brothers and sisters in The Wolf Pack everywhere. DUDES it's 5, how can anyone be through the solos and still not see 5, as in FIVE Bandmembers. Not 3, not 4 but 5...lol
Welcome back Rusty! I haven't seen you post in a while.
Glad you enjoyed it Aren! We'll be doing more Lovebites soon. Definitely will be diving into their live material also 🤘🏼
Im a huge LOVEBITES fan and I totally get where Ralph is coming from, i grew up on Slipknot and for years they were my fav band, but then i started paying attention to more intricate guitar work and it changed my metal world forever!!

Their appeal:
With 50+ years of metal listening behind me, earlier in 2022 I stumbled on this band called Lovebites.
Thanks for your reaction 🤘
Try out the live shows....Break the Wall, Hammer of Wrath, Swan Song (with Chopin intro) , Winds of Transylvania.
Glory to Lovebites 🤘 🐺 🔥
Miho! Miho! Miho! 🤘🐺🔥🔥🔥
LOVEBITES 🐺 INCREDIBLE
They are even better live. You aint see nothing yet! Check out their live videos. Best metal band in the world right now
Lovebites is #1. Check out their live stuff. Prepare to be blown away.
They toured Europe in 2018 and 2019 (performed at Wacken Open Air, Germany, in 2018; and toured the UK with Dragonforce in 2019)
Currently the band is in the process to announce the new bassist. Lineup:
Haruna - Drums
Miho - Ex Bass, backing vocals
Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals
Asami - Lead vocals, some piano
If you want to see them live I would suggest you to see the same song in one of the live shows in 2020 or 2021 to find the difference between live and video....and live is an experience....
If you were impressed by this, you need to check out their live stuff - it will blow your mind.
listen to the crusade if you want an iron maiden like song. Myiako wrote that song for Miho because she is a huge iron maiden fan.
Cool, guys !!! yes, these ladies deserve that 'HORNS UP' 🤘
Look man you can't always judge a book by its cover and there is five girls two guitar players singer drummer bass player. I think today they're about to make an announcement it's been going on Facebook. Break the wall, are really ,really good and Set the world on fire is another really good one
You can't go wrong listening to anything the Metal Goddesses have recorded but they are best LIVE !!! 💯❤🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘
Great that you want to do a live one next. Most fans will tell you they are even more impressive live. I would agree. Actually, nothing makes you really prepared for how good they are live. "Set the World on Fire" or "Holy War" are two good options.
I am on board for your Lovebites journey :D
One of the best reactions I have seen! =)
Its fun to think they have only been together for something like a year, when they do this!

Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Slayer, Pantera, All that remains, Queen, Children of Bodom, Avenged Sevenfold, Extreme, Dokken, Halestorm, Gary Moore.. all of them are bands that they mention when asked about another bands or guitarist.
but the main of their influences i think are Helloween, Angra, Kamelot, Iron Maiden and Metallica (their favourite bands)
if you want to hear Lovebites their best songs are Holy War, Break the Wall, Burden of Time studio Live, Thunder Vengeance, Rising Raise Some Hell, Edge of the World, Set The World On Fire, Glory to the World Music Video, Swan Song with Chopin intro, Epilogue, Empty Daydream, When Destines Align and Eagles Fly Free Studio everyone is live except the ones i said were music video and studio please react to them all and please let me know what you think
This band has no peer. It's the music. They are for real. They even sound better live. The two guitarist Miyako and Midori, there is no better duo.🤘🏾🤘🏾You guys haven''t seen anything yet. By the way the drummer is tireless. I have to take a nap after watching their concerts.

@@ALHSY The MV sounds way better. And "When Destinies Align" sounds better in the MV also.
Not hating here, just found it funny xD
Whats their appeal?

Number you are looking for is 5... 5 members. They are coming off hiatus in 4 days! Can't wait to see who they picked as their new bassist.

2 guitars, bass, drummer and a vocalist
You really need to watch some LIVE songs - these girls are REAL musicians - I'd recommend " Holy War " or for something different " Swan Song " ( with the Chopin intro ) - they're even better live than in the studio
They also have a song called the Crusade, look that up, the opening sounds exact like Iron Maiden Aces High.
Wow, what a good reaction. Thanks from a member of the Wolfpack USA. Appreciated very much. 👹🐺🐺🐺 🤘 💯
My Lovebites 🏴 🐺🤘....All Mine! I don't want to share.
that was a great reaction, the banter back and forth was great and fun, it was like with myself and friends talking music, the insight in the music was excellent, looking forward to more LoveBites..
Thanks Jerry! So glad you enjoyed the reaction. We're definitely doing more Lovebites! 🤘🤘
@@ALHSY cool looking forward to it🤘👍
Holy War Live, 2020 version...immediatly.
There has been a long standing "truth" in the world of rock/metal: An all female band can't produce a solid hard rock/metal sound.
Japan is smashing that "truth" with bands like LOVEBITES and BAND-MAID.
guys there are 5 FIVE of them!!!!!!!!!!
You guys need to react to their live performances. It'll blow your mind
Period!
I am really enjoyed your reaction! Do it more! from 🤘🐺🐺🤘
Got here a little late, was recovering from the Band-Maid concert....so: Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out:
Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” ua-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/v-deo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ua-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/v-deo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html;
“Holy War”: ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html
Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ua-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/v-deo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, as you saw, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are three more of the most spectacular:
"When Destinies Align" ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html
"Glory to the World" ua-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/v-deo.html
"Winds of Transylvania" ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
Just curious, where does the name of their fan base tribe “Wolf Pack” come from? I actually really like it 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@RavenscroftOfficialBand The group adopted the wolf as their mascot, for at least three reasons: They feel a bit like "lone wolves" in a world where most women do pop, and they are doing metal; wolves are just cool and a bit intimidating; and wolves are matriarchal, ie. the pack is headed by a female, which suits these ladies just fine.
@@RavenscroftOfficialBand They have a wolf on every album cover and DVD. Lovebites considers themselves lone wolves in the metal scene, and they have adopted the wolf as their mascot much like Eddie from Iron Maiden.
This song is just the tip of the iceberg! Definately one the best metal bands out theyre today...🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Old school rocker this is the 70s guitars of Skynyrd and Priest and just pure talent
Check them out live.
My Wolfpack bro's have told you all you need to know about the band, all I gotta say is...HARUNA !!! HARUNA !!! HARUNA !!! 🤘🐺🤘
as perfect as you can get says it all. polished to the point where they blind you. and don't think they can't pull it off live . it's almost like they step up their game in concert and demand perfection. and guitarists midori and miyako write their own solos then collaborate on the dual harmonies. you will see 'holy war' and 'set the world on fire' a lot as suggestions to your first live reaction. here is a link to the set the world on fire. don't pass this one up : ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html
Right! 👍LOVEBITES - these are 5 beautifully cut diamonds, successfully matched to each other. Therefore, their brilliance is blinding.
There are 5 of them, haha. Check put set the world on fire live, holy war, break the wall, thunder vengeance and hammer of wrath. Those are all bangers. Then the more artsy stuff, like frozen serenade and swan song.
1 2 3 4 5 talented ladies come on guys! 😁
One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same band is a crime!😊
🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music .
The band's fans call themselves the 🐺Wolfpack🐺
* Metal Hammer included LOVEBITES' third album "Electric Pentagram" (2020) in Top 20 Metal Albums of 2020 list.

*It is a sentence using Google translation.
LOVEBITES - Shadowmaker lyrics:
Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed
Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe
But still I go on, my hunger is strong
Hoping that someone will grab my hand
Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world
Maybe it's too late?
No one can save me
From all of the darkness and solitude
Cry, like shadows of the night
I carry all the pain inside to justify why I'm alive
Despite going through this hell
Cause still my heart has hope
No matter if I'm torn apart, I'll play my part
Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart
Reckless and fast, how long will I last?
Dancing like puppets, I'm empty inside
Fighting the fear, and grieving the dear
Hoping that someday I'll be repaid
Only my echoing heartbeats can prove that I'm here
Am I all alone?
Even a faint light is too bright for me, I can't see a thing
Hide, in shadows I reside
I tremble like a heartless soul, no place to go
In desolated land knowing no escape
But still I wish to live
Just waiting for a somebody to notice me
Before I fall down to depths of the abyss
SOLO: midori / mi-ya / both / miya
Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed
Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe
But still I go on, my hunger is strong
Hoping that someone will grab my hand
Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world
Maybe it's too late?
No one can save me from solitude
Cry, like shadows of the night
I tremble like a heartless soul, no place to go
In desolated land knowing no escape
But still I wish to live
Just waiting for a somebody to notice me
Before I fall down to depths of the abyss
Like shadows of the night
I carry all the pain inside to justify why I'm alive
Despite going through this hell
Cause still my heart has hope
No matter if I'm torn apart, I'll play my part
Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart

If you gentlemen do more of their stuff, check them out live. They are just as synchronized live as in the studio, even the harmonizing. They must practice extremely much.
The main attraction for many of us older fans, I think, is that they take the best of the 80s and bring it back with a modern flair and put their own mark on it, making it incredibly good. Their looks and outfits become unimportant after a few songs, because you realize how damn good they are. I think Japanese musicians work very hard on 'presentation'.
They are really really fantastic just check out some other songs.
welcome to the Wolfpack today you were Lovebitten ]:) next I would suggest the live stuff here's Holy War ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html
Great reaction BUT... Check them out "live " !!! Horns up Metalheads 🤘😎🤘
Like the high Scream do Holy War live.
If you like Slayer check out Lovebites Winds of Transylvania
Ok.
Welcome to lovebites
Next song: *Break the Wall*
their appeal is their talent...
trust me, you should see them on live video
Judas priest during the Scott Travis era.. that's the vibe I got from this.. for us older head bangers from the 90s this is like going home.. and the ladies are beautiful as well..
buy all there albums there is not 1 bad song. and i cant say that about any other band!!!!
They revealed their new bassist, a very talented young 20 year old virtuoso named Fami.
The blck hayr guitarrist play piano too . Have a song by him she play chopin on piano and after plays guitar on swan song you have to chect out
