    29:58 Q "are their Revenue projections credible?" Seymour "look I haven't seen their workings"
    42:57 Robertson "I also brought along Act's alternative budget, two things from there... "
    1:17:00 National: "The best way to get more housing... sell them to overseas buyers"

    Interesting how National and Act couldn't even answer the first question about what THEY would do, they just dogged Labour for a majority of their speech and then talked in vague bumper sticker promises with no substance of specific actions

    I have a question for everyone. Name one country in the Western world that is not in a recession at the moment. Name one country that did well during COVID. National has no policy they always say labour this labour that. No policy, no strategy. I am glad we had labour during COVID. Under National a lot of people would have died. John key caused the housing mess and Luxon will finish US, not it off. Labour or Greens for me. I will not vote for a party with no visible policy

    Anyone who wants to vote for a party that still has not produced a budget and policies a week before elections is simply a biased person. Luxon cannot answer a question, in this case Nicola has failed to give any numbers. Yes labour is not perfect but based on what New Zealand went through the John key era and now Luxon who has no ability to run an airline let alone a country. Wake up New Zealand. A country is made up of upper middle and low class, under national there will be the rich and poor only and no middle class. He is only worried about his rich mates. Why do yo7 think think this debate was done in QT. The Audience are clapping for Nicola yet she said nothing just like her boss

    The National person keeps talks building more houses. National since 1984 to 2017 reduced state housing construction. Also our population increased by 1 m or there abouts. This created a shortage as well.

    Property values! West Tamaki Rd. AUCKLAND. Most of these properties are valued at $2 million. So purchase price for overseas people is too low.

  • @adsdft585
    @adsdft585 Рік тому +12

    In 1984 Labour took over from National with with difficult economic situation. National took over from Labour in 2009 with national debt of 10 billion but left office with 60 billion plus GST was changed to 15%.
    The Labour governments since 1984 have increased Statehouse stock . National has reduced the stock at times or held the number as constant although the population increased.
    Interest rates are similar to the average rates over the last 30 years. Currently. During 2009 to 2017 the average interest rate was 6%.

I spend $200 a week (at the moment) on bloody petrol to go to work, I live in a caravan at a campground with zero change of getting a house and the last thing I can afford is food. The problem is the results, not the spending. Labour never takes itself into account regarding spending and they always dodge questions about the results of government spending given statistics appear to show a very underwhelming result.

      @@digiratinz Country's need debt. It's much easier to pay for things later once the thing has boosted our economy. But im also not happy with how labour spent our money. If we devide our national debt by the number of people in NZ. We have $25,000 of national debt per person.
