My mom lived in Miami during the 60s before she moved to Orlando in 1974-1975.. Miami looked so clean and inviting back then. I can’t get enough of these old videos 🤩
And then it become hell...
My dad grew up in Miami in the late 50s and early 60s and said there was a magic about it. Nowadays, it has absolutely no soul.
My father said very good things about Miami late 50s and 60s.
The soul got sucked out of Miami in 1980 onward.
It got super ghetto and poor.
@@cazsnap ain't nonthing bout miami poor n ghetto this one of the most expensive places to live, And let's not forget all you people come here on vacation. Don't even play on my city like that
@@teethompson3268 These people juss be talking lmao
beautiful cars, even the average ones
1960?
There’s a Rolls Royce at 2:19
So beautiful. Classic Post-WWII America.
Please Don't Do This. Can't wait to live in Post-WWIII America!
Abren nobody getting out ww3 unscathed.
@@PleaseDoNotDoThis For real. We're probably gonna be living in mud huts after that 😬
@@abren5974 you will have to live in ww3 American for that.
If it makes it any better we're still in post WW2 america
I wish I existed during those times. Such a bummer I born too late in life and will never truly enjoy living in those times.
to think every car in this video would be so valuable today... amazing beautiful footage.
I'm from Florida and I must say, just wow.
Most of those cars had no AC. This video
gave me a heatstroke just from watching!
Shut up
Haha. I was just thinking the same thing.
No ac, no fm and no regrets
Probably why theres so many convertibles lol
Awesome footage. Kinda surreal to see because at 0:13, besides the classic cars, it mostly looks the same!
Look how clean, safe, well ordered and white the place looks!
:/ glad you're declining in numbers
I think u should do research on south Florida buddy
So sad the way you think may God All mighty help you and Guide you to the truth. Ameen
Import the third world, become the third world
BLM✊🏿
wow is sweet it was back then simple and eligent
I personally think everything looked elegant back then because there weren’t cameras (phones) everywhere recording all the bad parts of back then
I first saw this area in 1973 on a 3-week vacation.
My family moved to Miami in '74, and this ride would have looked very similar.
Hubby's family moved to Miami in the 50s, and his mom and dad worked at the Fountainbleau. Got to see celebrities of that era --Sinatra and ilk.
How nostalgic.
But, to be precise, this is MIAMI BEACH...not Miami. :)
Lots of people don't understand that Miami Beach is a totally different city than Miami.
At 0:27 that’s the eden Roc i worked there 2015-2017 it literally looks the same lol.
Wow
Imagine finding yourself in there and saying "Oh, that's me when I was only 19". xD
I think it's my rebirth because somehow I don't know I like 1980's Miami it's lifestyle and music ❤️
The little boy at @ 0:49 is likely in his 70s now. Only if he could see this video.
I said the same thing
Just imagine living back then, god people were lucky
White people, yes.
@@MRresievil310 everything was cleaner. Regardless of race, today over there is very ghetto and not even locals go there lol.
@@MRresievil310Always with this weak generalization! Did you get this idea from your college professor? Anyone who took advantage of the most prosperous era in human history would've benefited from it.
Furthermore, white people shouldn't be villainized for capitalizing on their efforts and sacrifices. Do you know how many white men lost their lives fighting for the US in WWII?
Lastly, if white people are so hated and an implied scourge on society, why does EVERYONE want to live in our communities?
The Old Doral Hotel Was Shown🤗, Which Is Now Called The Miami Beach Resort
Beautiful....the golden age of Miami.
I used to work at Eden Roc Nobu hotel before the pandemic and it looks the same
I miss the music on the radio :
Best time's
Wow, who shot 35mm film and mounted the camera to vehicle? Had to be some real estate venture of that day...they spared no expense in the visual department that's for sure. Really nice.
It looks so modern
I LOVE it! :o)
That was real Miami
Wonder if this was captured in 35mm film?
Man, we have really lost something since then. This country doesn't have a soul anymore.
lol better times for some. are we conveniently forgetting that segregation still existed back then?@@frankrizzo4460
that doesn't make it untrue. you're acting like this time was a paradise when people were literally segregated by the way they looked.@@frankrizzo4460
FL hasn't had a soul for over 100 years.
Vice City Vibes.
That happened in the 80s
@@Kbasse39 oh, sorry
Not even close. This was the 60s.
Imagine seeing your relative on these videos.
Collins right? 63rd?
Looks like
The driver looks like he exits from Eden Roc then heads North. Wish they would have stopped in front of the Deauville but they turned into a parking lot a few streets short of it haha.
still looks the same just without the cars
Miami is still clean, but, a little bit dangerous!
Be careful.
😢😢😢😢😢😢
Can I use this footage for a music video? I will give you credit! Or is there a way for me to get the video without the watermark?
Hi! To license our footage you can get in touch via our website (kinolibrary.com) or email info@kinolibrary.com. Thanks!
Pre-Mariel boatlift, before miami went to shit.
DEMORATS
Golden age of USA
This would be a burglar’s dream. No cameras, no keycards, and one could copy a key to a room. People in those times carried cash checks and lots of jewelry.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to gta vice city 🌆
Anyone know the name of the hotel at 1:46 Very cool with the water in front and the entrance ramp.
I believe that was the Doral Beach Resort, 4833 Collins Avenue. I also saw the Executive at 4925 Collins.
Doral wasn't there in the 60s. I think it was the Fountainbleu, probably the ritziest hotel in town.
Humanity peaked back then. Minus the homophobia ofc and the other social issues.
Miami Beach, not Miami.
It look likes Miami in the scarface movie
Miami antes de los 80's era psicodélica era hippie
Not when this was filmed.
