    You are the best teacher of bead weaving on uTube!! Thank you for doing more close ups, it's so much easier to see where your hands & beads are located. And, I really like the way you repeat yourselft with the number of beads and directions. I don't have to rewind sooooo many times. Thank you for sharing your beautiful designs with everyone!!!

    That seed bead clasp is one of the best ones I have ever seen, fits in perfectly. I find the clasp is crucial to the final result. I have tossed over 70% of my bracelets due to clasps that were awkward looking or too hard to use. I find that I have to be careful to leave enough space inside the beads near the clasp, so that I can reinforce the clasp.This bracelet is so perfect, I am making this one next, hopefully I can produce a result as flawless as yours. Will post picture this month on your facebook page. Thank you for this easy to understand, fun and entertaining beading video.

      Thank you!!! I agree, the clasp is the most challenging part😃 I spend a great deal of time thinking about how to close a bracelet. It can make or break a bracelet. Glad this one worked out🌻

    I got the crystal golden shadow which are quite transparent, but when I used the seed beads, i was under the impression that the result as a whole (I did the necklace) was not as transparent and dressy as yours. Do you think I should use another color of seed beads (a lighter color) and if so, which one would you suggest, or buy the crystal silver shade? Thank you again, its so nice of you.

    Hi Stephanie...Just wanted you to know, I have made about 6 of these bracelets for family and friends! T wo days ago, I decided to make one in amethyst stones. I used toho 11's in orchid for the netting.....turns out the Toho's made netting that accommodated 6mm swarovski bicones not 4mm! It turned out gorgeous....thank you so much. Diane

    Oh my goodness, I love your videos...I was feeling your frustration with you when your camera was being all blurry and I had to laugh. Not at you but I felt that I would have been crabby if it were me! :) I have to have my beads really straight too or I'll just take it apart until they are. I'm about a beginner intermediate stitcher if you know what I mean and I get so OCD about it Ill look down at one bead that's just a tiny bit off (a delica) as I'm doing my stitching, finally stop and fix him and go back to the stitching. And those Tila beads....oh, I don't even want to go there! lol. I love them though. Anyway, thank you Stephanie, for spending your time teaching these beautiful projects!

    I'm glad to hear you talk to your camera. I talk a lot to my beads. They can be very naughty, falling and hiding from me. You'd think they all come from unhappy homes. As for the thread, Knots and Tangles all the time. I asked the thread why it does that. It said, "It's what thread does." So I said, "Could you stop, just for a while?" And the smartalec hollered, "Do you want me to lose my job?" So does your camera answer back like that?

  • @cinderellassober8265
    @cinderellassober8265 10 місяців тому

    Wow, yeah, remember when you could buy Fireline at the fishing store or even at Walmart! Those were the days. The reason that beaders started using Fireline was because it was good and it was economical. You could buy an entire 300 yard spool of it for less than $12. I guess they made a deal with Beadsmith and that was the end of that. I've been using Nanofil, its not that much cheaper, really, but I thought I'd give it a try and its a good strong thread like Fireline but its a little slippery and I had to get used to working with it. Now that I'm getting low, I'm going to look around the fishing section to see what I can find because I refuse to pay the price they are asking for Fireline now, its ridiculous. People new to beading probably don't even realize how bad they are getting ripped off on that stuff only us Ol' schoolers know the real deal.
    I was just going back and re-watching all your videos from the beginning because I like to listen to you while I'm beading and plus it gets you some more views on your channel ;) You are such a good teacher and I know there are complainers on here saying you talk too much but I love listening to you and I have come a long way in my beading journey in part because of your channel. I love your beading style and your teaching style and I just think you're the neatest thing since a pocket on a T-shirt! I guess a beading channel can only get so big, especially since COVID, seems like everybody is a crafter now, but not everybody is good at it and not everybody should be teaching others something they can barely do themselves. I think your channel deserves more support. Anyway, I've been here for years and Lord willing I'll be here for many more. I just don't do Facebook, I'll try to leave a comment on more of your videos as I go back thru and watch them.

    Hello, where you get that snap on clasp from, the one with the crystal and gold bracelet

      Firemountain Gems has the filagree box clasp. If you are just ordering a couple of the clasps try Etsy as well. In the search bar type “filagree box clasp” and many sellers will come up. Check shipping costs🌻

    and can you give me the colors of the bracelet u wanted to do as a capriccio? the champagne one, the bicones and the seed beads please!

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  9 років тому

      +roula yasin Hi Roula! The beads I used for the bracelet (Capriccio) are Swarovski bicone 4mm crystal silver shade. The netting is done with size 11/0 matte metallic bronze Miyuki seed beads and the crossover bead is a Miyuki metallic bronze 11/0. As for making the Moon Rocks bracelet half the width you could use less boxes in you first row but keep the end boxes as they are different. I do not have my beads in front of me so I can't play with it for you at the moment. When I get home from work I could try it but I think you can do it by maybe just taking out the middle box. Give it a try and let me know what happens :)

      Hi Roula! The netting beads for the golden shadow bracelet or necklace are Miyuki 11/0 Semi-matte Silver lined Crystal # 1901

    I did my netting a little to tight is that going to be a problem? I think it may be ok what do you think? What do you do when you run out of thread? Maybe you can make a video on that? Your nettles look really long or is it the camera that makes it look that way?

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  9 років тому +1

      Yvette, I think the netting will be fine if it is a little tight. As long as you can get the crystals to attach at the cross over beads you should be fine. As far as adding thread you are right, I should have done a segment on that. For now, so you don't have to wait for me to make a video on adding thread, leave a few inches of old thread on the project so you can tie that in later. Then thread a needle with fireline and start weaving through the netting a couple of rows back and end up through the bead your old thread was coming out of and continue from there. I will make an "adding thread to netting" video for you asap. My turquoise necklace is 17" and the bi-cone crystal one is 18'. Make it as long as you like, just leave room for the clasp. So if you want a 17' necklace and your clasp is an inch make the beaded portion 16 inches. You can also hold it around your neck and get a perfect fit that way too.

      Hi Lauren - Sorry about this tutorial being a bit hard to follow! I was learning my camera and clearly had some staying in frame issues. About your question: In the part 2 tutorial starting at time index 19:33 you will see where I add the two heads to the loop end of the clasp. The toggle end has three beads if I remember correctly. I hope this helps 😄
