I made CURSED froggy chair cookies

Advice for next time. Use flour instead of powdered sugar and dip you cookie cutters in. Bit of flour before using it so it won't stick to the dough. Also instead of parchment paper put flour on the surface of your counter, there will be no sliding and it will prevent your dough from sticking to the counter and stretching when you try to lift it.
Edit: also your cookies turned out lumpy because you mixed wet and dry ingredients together. You have to mix butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, ect. In a seperate bowl to get it to a smooth and creamy consistency with no lumps. Then you ad dry ingredients like flour and baking soda. This prevents the butter from clumping up with the flour and creating a lumpy dough.

Was going to suggest having the dough on the counter and putting flour down then the dough so it doesn't stick to the counter. but looks like someone beat me to it.
Great tip on why the cookies turned out lumpy tho! I wouldn't have thought it made that much of a difference on mixing dry and wet ingredients separate when the recipe calls for it. That's auctually really interesting and good to know. Always stick to the recipe when doing things like this.

Yes, all of this! Also refrigerate the dough for longer before you roll it out, King Arthur (my favorite baking company) recommends an hour, I might do even longer if it needs it -- my family usually refrigerates ours overnight before we work with it. It's hard to roll out after it's been chilled for that long, but if you knead it with your hands for a little bit it gets it to the perfect consistency.

PRO TIP: I always let the dough chill for a couple hours, so then it wont stick inside the cookie cutters

The reason you were struggling with getting the shapes cut out was because the dough was too soft, it needed to be chilled for longer and because you used a spreadable butter it's way softer than a stick of butter.
Also if you want to save on dishes, mix the wet ingredients in the bowl first, then put the sieve on top and add your dry ingredients and sift them through. This will reduce lumps and you will only need to use one bowl!

I think that the reason the cookies were a little greasy was that you used both cup measurements and grams. Generally, its advised to stick to the same type of measurement throughout a recipe. Hth for next time.

i’ve never had an issue with mixing measurements types, i think the issue mostly lied with the butter and sugar not being properly creamed together. Which does effect the consistency
