I am so with you. Do what you need. About 4 years ago I decided not to keep buying planners. Get one and stick withy it. I am ordering on Monday my PPP…. It reminds me of FlyLady and I am all about here. I have been following her for about 23 years now…. I was a Maryland fly baby…. …. I digress. I love the idea of a FlyLady-esk planner.. I am very excited. I hope I like it. I have a year to like it…LOL
I found the same issue with zone cleaning I appreciate the PPP review and plan with me. I also found that I didn't use a lot of the pages she's in her apron planner that I thought I would use. I'm so excited to order the 2022 PPP & the new money planner. Thank you for the coupon code & the link.
My favorite sentence “I realized I was being dramatic.” 🤣 I’m struggling to figure out my planner/ cleaning schedule. I’m happy you got things figured out for you. I look forward to seeing how you set up for October. You set a great example for going with the flow and changing something that isn’t working for you and not letting the money you spent on something hold you back.
Lol! 🤣Dramatic, for sure! I’m really glad I finally figured this out for myself. It’s hard sometimes to realize that you figured it out, second guessed everything, went way off track, and then find your way back. . I’m finally feeling like I’m not so scattered.
Isn’t it funny how our first instincts are usually right? I’m pretty well exhausted by the planner world. My bank account is too. How I wish I’d not lost so much money on this. Just bought a 5 year monthly off Amazon and will use that with a Moleskine weekly and a small Walmart notebook. Also bulletin boards for my vision board and a whiteboard for mindmaps and Kanban.
I love your honesty! Thanks for your thoughts and ideas. I’m still looking for my perfect planner. I’m probably too picky! Right now I’m using a Happy Planner because I can customize it. I have my homeschool planning pages in it as well and all the other things I need. Maybe one day I’ll find exactly what I want and need!
Thank you! I greatly appreciate your honest thoughts, a lot of channels don't mention these things. Most of us planner gals struggle with stuff, at least from what I can tell. Trying to make something work that just doesn't work is exhausting and I think you made a good decision. I think your video is very helpful. Thank you again!🏵️❤️☺️
Sounds like awesome news to me! I just received my first PPP in pink with gold foil dots yesterday. I’ve also been through FlyLady and have routines that have stuck with me, which is a benefit. New subscriber. Blessings❣️
I've decided to get the pdf version of PPP because I have to make things difficult for myself 😆. It actually has a Monday start option which I've never used but am thinking about for 2022. I like having all the stuff ready to check off without taking too much time to write down every week. If I want extra pages for something, I can add them, and put it all into a Happy Planner system, which I already have all the stuff for. Thanks for these videos!
Love your honesty! I have the PPP..it’s beautiful and I wanted to love it but I just don’t. I tried several times through the year to go back to it but only used it a few days here and there! I also tried Plum Paper and the EC Monthly this year to no avail. I turned the monthly into a budget planner and love it! I have the SIHA planner and absolutely love it! It’s great for me! Planner peace! xx
I just found you and I am so glad I did! Isn't awesome when we discover something about ourselves? Having a Sunday start monthly calendar actually hiccups me. I learned years ago there is a spatial element to my planning. Yes, gotta have my Monday start preprinted because I can't be bothered to fiddle with it. But was I being dramatic about having a breakdown over not being able to stay in a system for more than a few weeks recently? Yup, until I figured out the problem wasn't the planner, but me. I'd been so busy navigating the pandemic, I hadn't acknowledged I had major changes in my primary roles and the way I had been planning no longer worked. So, I've been in a state of unplanning... taking the time to get familiar with my evolved responsibilities. I've learned some things, acquired some things and left some things. I will stay in this state as long as needed. And, I ditched flylady years ago. I picked up a few things that really did help. (If my shoes aren't on my feet, my butt really does make permanent contact with a the sofa.) But mostly I just hated zone cleaning -didn't make sense for our household- and the system caused a lot of stress for us.
Wow, it really is such a good thing to slow down from time to time and reevaluate what is working vs what we have programmed ourselves to think is working. I completely understand the Zone Cleaning not working. I seem to go in and out of it here and there. I’m back to zone cleaning for now, but am learning to have a healthy balance with it. I’m glad you are here and hope you stick around!💕
I’m going to use the PPP as well. I’ve got dishes, laundry and WHB under control, but can’t get on board with zone cleaning. The PPP seems like it will work well for my current phase of life! Would love for you to do videos of following the planner!
I feel the same way! I have been through multiple planners this year and I have felt that none of them have worked quite right for me. I ordered the PPP planner for 2022 and I’m hoping that it is perfect. I also need more simplicity in my life right now. I do plan on purchasing a goal planner for 2022 as well, probably the Makselife and between these two planners, I’m hoping that I will have everything that I need and want for 2022.
The best planner I’ve found is actually digital for layering of routines. I only use paper planners to write down what I did, and appointments/shopping needs on an A3 weekly desk planner that sits on a standing desk “planning station.” These are two stacked $10 Lack tables from IKEA. The best paper planner I found was A4, thin, hardcover and reduced to $2. Each page is divided into eight. Each box down the LHS is lined. The ones on the right aren’t. I add the themes for the day and date and day at the top of the day, and a start time to the box. I find I get way more done this way. If I do something I’ve been putting off I circle it and do smilies and things. I use the boxes on the right for comments and quotes. Or bullet journal type shorthand, e.g. follow up things to action, or entertainment I enjoyed while doing it. I also add any timer games or other things. I have never found such a perfect “doing focused” system before. Any time I need to reorient myself I just pull up my digital planner that is integrated with my menu, nutrition, health system. It took a while, but it just keeps getting better and better over the past few years!
I have been seriously thinking of getting a PPP planner, so thank you so much for this video. :) When using a planner,, what is the difference between a Sunday start and Monday start? Sorry if that is a dumb question and should be obvious.
Not a dumb question….some planners start the week with Monday and some start with Sunday as the first day of the week. When a planner starts the week with Sunday, your weekends are separated when looking at them. When the planner starts with Monday as the first day of the week, Saturday and Sunday are next to each other….a lot of people like to see their weekend together for making plans. I hope that makes sense.
I’m so glad I watched this video. I’ve been doing the same thing!!!! I feel bad about the money I’ve spent, but if I’m not utilizing the planner, then it’s no good for me! I also bought the Jordan Page planner and that was soooooo confusing and made me feel even more disorganized!! I have come to one conclusion though…I LOVE planners!! Maybe too much 😂 I certainly won’t mind mixing it up a little bit, with the planners I already purchased. Sometimes you have different needs, or maybe just a change of scenery (in your planner). So it’s okay to go back and forth, I just don’t want to spend more money in the meantime. Here’s to a great end of 2021!
I get it, it takes time and trial and error to figure out what works for you and your unique life! That being said, thank you for taking us with you on your journey and reviewing the other planners, glad you found "the one".
From what I can tell, they got slammed with orders at launch! They are a small business, but their customer service is great! If you reach out to them, they will get it sorted out. The pink is so pretty, but ended up not being the #1 seller at launch. I was shocked!
@@CarryGrace Thank you for the clarification. You've done so many videos on Flylady, and I noticed you'd written zone 2 on one of your pages in your 2021 planner. Thus, the confusion.
PS, I can't tell you how much money and time I've spent trying to figure out what I want. Soooo many partially-used or empty planners and notebooks. LoL!

It’s so hard to find just the right thing! I use a Happy Planner for Homeschooling.
I'm still figuring out, too. ☺️

So much planning for planning! Thank you for doing the work for me!!❤
Yay! This is where I landed too!
Oh, fun! I am feeling so much calmer in this planner. It is also so beautiful! I love the colors.

Thank you! I’m so glad that the She’s in Her Apron Planner is working for you! It’s a such a good planner. 💕
I have been leaning toward the Passionate Penny Pincher Home Planner for 2022. Thank you for this video.
I just found you and I am so glad I did!

@@CarryGrace Ah, I get it now! Thanks for the great explanation. :)
I’m very happy you’re figuring it all out but nooo I need my CG zone cleaning video motivation! 😂😂🙏🏼🙏🏼

I ordered a pink PPP planner based on one of your videos. Unfortunately it got lost in the mail. Now I'm afraid the pink will sell out.
From what I can tell, they got slammed with orders at launch! They are a small business, but their customer service is great! If you reach out to them, they will get it sorted out. The pink is so pretty, but ended up not being the #1 seller at launch. I was shocked!
I'm confused. Are you using the Flylady weekly system in the Passionate Penny Pincher planner, or are you abandoning Flylady altogether?
Yes, I am abandoning the Flylady System
now.
