James Kamau for me💥💥
What is T. Mtawabiba full name I can't find him, thanks.
Etzabeth once asked his gym trainer to get new weights because the ones he was using at the springbok training camp were too light 👀so I’ve heard
If I recall correctly, he asked for 80Kg dumbells at the Bok camp in the 2015 RWC. Obviously he’s not curling that on one arm, but that’s an impressive dumbell bench.
happyspanners he is very strong for a rugby player
During the 2012 pre-season at Western Province, Etzebeth found the 65kg (143lb) dumbbells “unsatisfactory” so he strapped extra 5kg (11lb) weights to them. In the end, the club had to custom-order 75kg (165lb) dumbbells for him. By way of context, Kyle Eastmond, the England centre, weighs 83kg (183lb). intheloose.com/
@@happyspanners That was probably his curl. 80 kg is about 175 pounds.
For reference, I, a high school rugby player in America, can bench 150 pounds.
He can probably bench upwards of 225 pounds (102 kilos)
@@tsherwood2112 A dumbbell press is way harder than a barbell bench press. I could bench 80kg at 14, but I doubt I could have dumbbell pressed 40kg on each arm. He’s probably benching 140kg+ for reps.
Fiji hands down breeds some of the most brutal players with size, speed and pure strength 👀🤦♂️ beasts 🔥
doesn't matter if you can't get the ball to the touchdown. He is strong but lacks skill.
@@VijaySharma-lk2mb lacks skills? Which players? I hope you aren't talking about the Fijian players because they pack alot of skills whether they play 1 or 15. Comes with the amount of backyard footy they play back in the islands and if you're still not convinced, just watch their 7s team
@@VijaySharma-lk2mb this not soccer
Can’t argue with Karem EL there by far the biggest men about
@@VijaySharma-lk2mb touchdown???😂😂😂
Henry Tuilagi is the strongest rugby player ever.
Fun Fact: Henry Tuilagi is one of the strongest athletes in sporting history whose career was not dedicated to powerlifting as an end in itself. At his peak, he bench pressed 250 kg (551 lb) raw for several reps.
The title is wrong, this video is about power rather than strength
@Sam Rajapaksa Its not a debate, Henry Tuilagi is scientifically the strongest. You are talking about power. They are completely different
Surely you're right mate, Jonah Lomu must be Brian Lima's Gf
there is a little hyperbole to that story, that he did that in the gym in response to being told Andrew Sheridan was bench pressing 250kg. probably if measuring an assortment of quantifiable strength measures such as bench presses & dead lifts, it would be between the 2 of them.
However if the 'strongest' means making yardage from a standing start with 3 defending players trying to pull them down you might look at Basteruaud or Billy Vunipola. If you want explosive acceleration into dominating huge collisions Manu Tuilagi was hard to beat in his pre0injury days. Naiyaravoro and Nadolo are perhaps hardest to stop when they have momentum.
F=MA Force Equals Mass x Acceleration science b*tch hahaha insert Jesse meme
Based on the videos I would call it "The player with the greatest momentum"
Eben Etzetbeth has a knack for calling support on to himself. So many of his runs are his own power backed by De Jager or another big forward, its a communication skill that truly helps
tuisova and tuilagi are way, way stronger, faster and much more agil..
For the comments on Fijians are only good at running but can't score. Fact is, in the last decade Fijians have topped the try scoring in almost every major league. Some years topping every single major league. If you search 'top try scorer' for any league in the last ten years you'll see a few Fijians in there. So you must be blinking hard every time a Fijian scores a try.
Just racism becoz fijians are dark
No one bumbs like Josua Tuisova Brutal 🤘
8:14 . I can feel the soul draining out of No.15 as he see's those eye boring into him.
Amazing that Andrew Sheridan isn't mentioned, but then he just destroyed scrums from within rather than big running hits.
The power wingers on here are impressive, but Etzebeth palming off front rowers is unmatched in world rugby
These power wingers bump off front rows too. Just ask Julian Savea and Manu Tuilagi.
Then u havent watched rugby for the last 10 years
SBW, Tuli, Wilk (everyone said he hit hard for his size) & Sheridan that time he was on form destroying the Aussie pack.
Everyone knows the real reason Matt Dunning retired :P
Of all the players tsgged as "Next Lomu" i think Savea came closest. Incredible intl performances and a crazy try to game ratio. Shame he was dropped as soon as he lost a bit of form
When Savea was at his peak he was hard to stop
He wasn't dropped because of bad form, he was dropped because of bad attitude towards training
@@nickc5417 and there was a domestic violence incident as well
Tuisova is the best.
I think this should be called who is most powerful player in rugby cause most of these guys carry huge momentum.
What!!?? What about: Jonah Lomu, Sevu Reece, Julian Savea, Bakkies Botha, Alex Tuilagi, Ben Lam, Os du Randt, Anthony Tuitivake, Ma'a Nonu, Rupini Caucaunibuca and Waisaki Naholo?
Its part one 😍
@@GGRUGBY lol!!😂🤣
@@GGRUGBY also Duane Vermeulen. You don't earn the name Thor for nothing. Lol
@@neykostiglingh4852 in part 2
Lol, Sevu Reece...
No clue who the strongest is but some of these are awe inspiring, absolute tanks....having said that compared to the absolute best there seem to be a couple of players that were thrown in the video just for being very strong; I dont know who the strongest is but i know its not Rene Ranger.
Disrespectful to Alesana and Henry tuilagi
They're retired though, these are current players uce
Archangel Mi`cha'el there’s players in this vid that’s been retired
Many stronger than all of them and has better skills
That bump of Rene Ranger at 6:30 is hectic 😳😳
mamuka is the real man
Manu Tuilagi for me 💯💪🏽
This isn't about strength , it's about the physics of mass and momentum.
Set..... we'll settle it at strength then
This list is more done by power, rather than strength
Its the other way round. Power is work done per unit of time - power training involves about 55 - 60% 1rm.
@@RolloZx no one is talking about power training
@@seanmoody2344 took me 2 months to respond - you were talking about power training in your original comment "this list is more done by power....."
@@RolloZx yes I said this list is based on which players are the most powerful. I said nothing about training power, silly
That is very true. The Strongest players are mainly the props. Andrew Sherridan bench press 225kg, Taniela Tupou 200kg, the Beast Mtawarira 190kg. Strongest rugby player ever recorded was Henry Tuilagi who benched 250kg. There's a story about how that unfolded too.
I maybe wrong but this is a reupload??? I've been in need of this for 2 years maybe a year now
Great video ! Thanks !
These men are the X Factor in their team....It's very hard to tell which one is the💪💪👌
Did I see 5 players of Fijian background. Correct me if I am wrong.
Actually I am Australian of Indian origin. Born and Bred in Aus and my favourite rugby team are the wallabies. I have never been to that shit hole and never will. Half full coconuts and sand are not my thing , I have better things to do .
@@pushpnaidu2530 what happen did something happen to you and your family in that lovely country? Have you even been to India?????? That is a real shit hole!
@@Sarps2010 😂😂😂
It’s Iconic how Ethzebeth knocked out Sam Cane but was stopped by Beuaden Barrett
Everyone gets knocked back now and then, tackles can be very technical no matter how strong you are
Taqele Naiyaravoro is the beast. He will bump anyone out of his way. When u feed someone cassava and taro.
He's a pretty shitty player overall but it's hilarious watching him send players flying
@@Tom-vu1wr no hes actually really good. He has speed and power which only few possess
@@ItsReverb_YT lmao but he doesn't defend or out in work around the pitch
Yato is pretty freaking strong
Yep Yato is a beast
Key point in these videos...the amount of tacklers hitting these big guys high ....wrong tactic.... hit them low and they will fallover like any other player 80% of the time ..the ankle tap is another leveller in the game and one of the most effective against big players IMO..
On a side note ,there are a lot of big guys in the modern game "battering rams" ,my biggest fear is where has all the talented skilful players gone ....eh ?
I have herd henry tuilagi was one hell of a beast
You forgot CAVEMAN and Camille Chat aka NECK
great video - lots of really cool action
Many thanks!
I’m sad not to see Marcell Coetzee in this he is an absolute tank
The brother at 9:27 got absolutely violated
didn't expect James Haskell to make an appearance haha
Time stamp?
Mistiquey 9:00
Lame entry. The hits shown were purely opportunistic too.
Are you allowed to throw a block like someone is running can you get In front and block for them like in American football?
Nah u can't do that, you have to beat the defender by yourself
jonah lomu of all time 🙌🏽
Josua Tuisova and Taniela Tupou are perhaps two of the most devastating runners in the modern game; definitely top 5 if not the very best imo. However, I don't know how they'd stack up against a prime Henry Tuilagi. Both attack and defence. Skills aside (he wasn't the silkiest of blokes lol), I've yet to see a player as dominant in terms of brute strength and raw power like Henry. Some of the names I see on here, players from that same era who were damn strong in their own right like Chabal and James Haskell, had some mighty and difficult battles with HT. Look up some of his highlights, there's one with Chabal getting driven backwards.
90% Pacific Islanders
Africans
@@darttreeks250 don't think so mate, they are Polynesian. Samoans, Tongans, Fijians
@@nstratford9073 The strongest are Africans and Samoans
@@darttreeks250 I think you are mistaking Fijians for Africans, in this rugby video context. There is maybe literally 1 African in this video
@@nstratford9073 No friend I wanted to say that most of the strongest rugby players are Samoans and Africans or Afro-descendants
Define “strongest” first
Ngani Laumape, Julian Savea
?
The Tullow tank Sean O'brien
Eh where's Ngani ? Great list though.
Or robbie fruean
gerber , mordt , lomu ? tuilagui and 2 others so bad players , the first one in yr list is a real BEAST !
Everyone is good. But my favorite would still be Rene Ranger
Overwhelming number of Pacific Islanders
I don't know how high a level he played, but its pretty safe to say multi time World's Strongest Man finalist from Great Britain, Terry Hollands, is the strongest Rugby player ever! Lol!
Power is more important in Rugby. Strength is also much harder to verify. It may be easier to think of it like this..." Who would be the person on the rugby field you would really rather not have to tackle if it's just you?" Then it's a bit easier to come up with your short list. Or better still rename the title, who is the scariest rugby player?
🌳 trunks @1:38. Pure beast mode
etzebeth doesnt have as much strenght as he has pure crackhead motivation
I was hoping to see some numbers. Bench press, squats, dead lift etc. No?
Gorgodzila 🇬🇪🇬🇪
I think Eroni Sau should’ve made the list ngl
They should add faf de klerk
Faaaf de klerk is toughest
thats not fair if you add him ... Hes a giant killer ,most of these monsters avoid big Faf at all costs cause he will always embarrass them lol
@Tom yeah, love faf but his deadliness comes from technique rather than strength or power
@@nodeartr8134 and sheer...fokkn... will
@@Kernowking101 That too
Where is george north ?
Just a reminder that I have a selfie with Mathieu Bastareaud
On pure strength it will be a prop, probably a tight head - or just about any Georgian forward!
I think one of the contestants a few years back in Britain's Strongest Man was intending to play rugby
Get lasha talakhadze on a rugby field after a 30kg cut and we'll see what he can do
"Naijaijaijaihavoro"🤣🤣
Tbh taqele is scary as he is a huge giant. He can literally run over people its crazy. Also if u wanna get this big eat taro and cassava with meat cassava really good for you if u wanna bulk
Where is Thor
Thor playing in the Avengers Team. Lol
Lomu in his prime, he was the strongest rubgy player ever !
As much as I respect him, I’ll have to disagree. He was just like a man from future, if he was playing with the players from today he wouldn’t be doing what he did back then. He just kind of pathed the way for big wingers. Even forwards are in the gym now, where as back in the day they was just fat and lazy.
@@morganwilliams4069 what you talking about ??? Jonah in his prime played in the forwards first then made his way ti the backs he was running over props hookers number 8s the entire back line he even played while he was sick if he played in todays era he would be running over nearly all the people that you saw in this video
Morgan is still looking for a white lomu
Jonu Lomu by far the strongest consistently.
Not any more lol

Nope

So true. A tighthead who couldn't scrum, but run over (and accidentally knock out) someone like McCaw at his best
Fijians all the way!!
Hakwa nadro stallions
Tuisova 🙌
I guess no one remembers Iafeta Paleaaesina. I've never seen someone cause so much destruction while running

Jonah... Nuff said

Ruben Kruger. 101kg
Mark Andrew’s 115kg.

Tendai Mtawarira 120kg
Bongi Mbonambi 115kg
Frans Malherbe 125kg
Eben Etzebeth 123kg

Duane Vermeulen 120kg.

Couple this with greater fitness and strength and defensive tactics it would be much harder in today’s game for Lomu to make as much progress. Especially when backs are almost as big as forwards
Lomu would be a good player but he’d usually be shut down very quickly much like Manu Tualagi or Virimi Vakatawa. Which are people that if you don’t watch them they are away but usually just get stopped immediately
