Thoughts of Rootspring filled her mind. He was pressing beside her beneath a spreading willow, the warmth of him seeping into her fur. Was it a dream for a memory? She couldn't tell. Now they were hunting, running through the forest, side by side, so close their pelts touched. And then she saw herself cocooned with him in a nest. Had they shared one after all? Surely they had, she thought, with a rush of love. Tails entwined, they were gazing proudly at three tiny kits. Of course it was real. Of course these were memories of the life they'd shared. The cold that gripped her seemed at last to let go. She closed her eyes and in her last moment she felt only warmth. Only love.

I like to imagine that their is an afterlife after starclan/darkforest where every cat who fades or doubled dies is,and when rootspring fernsong,Ivypool etc fade they will get to see bristlefrost again.
I like to imagine it too but the Erins said once a cat dies twice they’re gone forever, and Bristlefrost lost body and soul in one action. It broke my heart when Rootspring tried to use the earth to feel for any remnants of her spirit but she was completely gone and all that was left of her was the last hallucinations she had of a life and kits with Rootspring that never happened but she believed did

i always thought they reincarnated when their ghosts faded away, maybe theyll fall in love again in a different life :,)
parallel universes being canon, and multiple afterlifes (like how the tribe of rushing water and kittypets have different afterlifes not in starclan, but cats from the tribe, as well as other spirits not in starclan coming to help during the great battle), make this possible actually

I loved that Bristlefrost and Rootspring loves each other, and her death was heartbreaking for me. I love that this map shows that too.

Holy hell, that was mindblowing! Easily one of the prettiest maps I’ve seen in a while and I couldn’t be more honored to be apart of it!
Some reflection, if I’ll be honest, I didn’t care for Bristlefrost very much, but her death had incredible writing, and I absolutely understand why her death is so heartwrenching for others. HOWEVER, working on DSiSM and watching the final product did in fact shift my stance on her. All participants brought a beautiful script to life with incredible storytelling (I kid you not, I got CHILLS running down my back), given how incredibly bittersweet it is to follow Bristle from kithood, to dealing with Ashfur ghost being all eerie, to all the effort she makes to save the clans, to her dream under a tree with Rootspring, all the way to her ultimate sacrifice. Huge kudos to the rest of the participants and Jay Grimalkind for crafting this wonderful masterpiece.
bristlefrost is a character i hold very near and dear to my heart; for a pov cat to make mistakes, to be so truly likeable without being forcibley framed so by the narrative, has spoken to me, and this map is a beautiful portrayal of her. props to the host and every animatior who made this come to life, its beautiful!
as a person who liked bristle from the first tbc book,this means and reflect so much! its kinda funny how people start to like her just after her (spoiler) death.
she deserve so much better,and I will never forgot the fight I was having with a friend about "bristle is just like hollyleaf,boring" and I think that was the reason i liked her so much! she was just a super caracter,and her development? amazing!
I love how this map reflect all her caracter amd trauma she had! this is the best one with her I see. thank u for all the artist who gave us this masterpiece!🌼

OH MY LORDY LORD- THIS HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE MOST STUNNING MAPS I’VE EVER SEEN! The participants did not disappoint, each part is so well thought out and the animation is top notch! I love Bristlefrost’s story so much, she’s such a beautiful character! The song choice is absolutely perfect as well, comes from one of my favorite albums! WORDS CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW MUCH I ADORE THIS, AND FANART IS ABSOLUTELY COMING THIS WAY, NO DOUBT!!

Did I want a Bristlefrost map? Yes
Is this map better than I could have possibly hoped? Absolutely
Was I ready for the psychic damage the animation, storytelling, and music choice gave me? Not at all.
But seriously, this is absolutely stunning and legit brought tears to my eyes. Bristlefrost has skyrocketed as one of my favourite characters and what happened to her was, I think, the saddest scene in the whole series. You showed this brilliantly, especially with the clips of her and Rootspring under a tree with their kits. Breathtaking.
This MAP is one of the most haunting I've seen in a while! It catches the spirit of old MAPs, I don't know how. All of you did a fantastic job, congrats!!!
EVERYONE DID SO LOVELY! always really adored musical miracle/ tally hall and it's super cool to see a warriors map with this song! all the parts flowed so well and the designs are lovely

BristleFrosts death hit me hard, I think it was the first warriors book that I cried abt (other than CrookedStars promise…) Anyway, everybody did great!

gorgeous map, everyone's parts were amazing! not gonna lie i am NEVER getting over bristlefrost's death. i wasnt a huge fan of her in some of tbc but GEEZ her death scene really got me. Way more impactful then most other warriors deaths imo, probably because she won't show up again in starclan. great work to everyone in the map!!

3. It was about Bristlefrost's life! Not just about her jumping in to kill Ashfur, it also shows (I forgot yellow tabby name since there's too much names to remember) it showed her crush's POV too!

That was stunning! Can I just say, I had no idea this MAP was so long? Hosting a MAP this long is really impressive, as is the quality throughout. The art direction is beautiful and I loved seeing everybody’s different styles. Thanks so much for having me!
I have to say, this is an absolutely wonderful MAP. Hawaii: Pt II is up there with my favorite albums of all time, and this MAP manages to capture the spirit of the album and the song flawlessly. All the designs are wonderful and read incredibly well as the characters they are, and I got chills from this MAP more than once.
I also like that it shows the other parts of Bristlefrost's life beyond her sacrifice at the end. Most people seem to only remember her as a tragic sacrifice, but really she had so much more to her character than that, and this MAP really did her justice. As a bonus, too, the credits are also wonderful- the music box cover of The Mind Electric really fits the haunting and tragic tone at the end.
Finally, a Warriors fan who enjoys Hawaii: Part 2!! I’ve become so obsessed with the album lately! I’ve even been trying to learn some songs from the album on my keyboard! I agree with everything you’ve said too, this MAP is truly spectacular!

I think is probably the 340th time I watch this map again, the storytelling, the choice of music, pacing, designs, framing, colors and so on and on are so fantastic. Good job to everyone who joined in and to the host for the wonderful idea

Why do I love this so much- especially the part at the end! When Bristlefrost smiled, glad she’d done something for the good, then is gone. Just- gone. We don’t know where she is nor if she even exists- it’s hard to imagine not existing, even as a soul, isn’t it? That one part hit hard- my only theory for the cats that are forgotten/killed as a spirit ISSS: (drumrollll) that they each have their own little island, or they do separate the good and bad cats, wouldn’t they? Even the Erins (probably) aren’t so cold to make it to dead after dead cats are just COMPLETELY gone- like- that’s kinda horrific to think of what would happen to your soul- IDK- Just I’m glad this was made for me to feel somewhat sad - adios to. Very long, unnecessary comment. :>
When I saw that this was Dream Sweet in Sea Major + Bristlefrost (one of my only favorite hero characters because I love villians too much), I clicked. And man, I was not disappointing. Plus, I nearly cried when the music box version of THE MIND ELECTRIC came on for the credits. I love WC, and I love Hawaii part ii.
This may just be me but I find this as an excellent example of the new generation of warrior cat animators

IM IN LOVE... THIS PORTRAYED HER SO WELL everyone did such an amazing job. From kithood to death this was a masterpiece! Ive always loved bris, she had to grow up so quickly with having her assessment so young then becoming deputy with at a young age. Then she was the closest one to imposter bramblestar and her death was so heartwrenching and so well written. Yall did so much justice on her, it was truly stunning!

Seeing all these small animators come together to make such a beautifully scripted map… it reminds me of the early days of the warriors community, definitely cool to see some new names on the scene and I’ll be following a lot of the participants :) can’t wait to see what they do next

anyways this was a great map to work with and the most fun and kind server i've ever been in. everyone was so helpful and I'm glad I was able to finish my part with the help of jax despite my surgery. I'm so glad this was completed and it looks STUNNING

The only part I probably enjoyed about the entire volume is that we saw firestar again. I literally screamed “OMG FIRESTAR!?!!?” And proceeded to choke on my hot chocolate. But everything else was ruined by bristlefrosts death. I mean it was good but damn that hurt

I've been rewatching this since it premiered, this map was completed so fast especially for one that's so long and tbh I think it's up there as one of the best WC maps! it flows so well and tbh this this is one of the best songs to use for Bristlefrost / TBC in general. Well done everyone ! =D

Now that i’m entirely fixated on Hawaii Part II, i found this MAP again. I haven’t watched it yet. But Dream Sweet In Sea Major always makes me feel so many emotions. It is a beautiful song, and the perfect end to it’s album.
And knowing i literally cried the first time i read bristlefrost’s end, and the second time as well, i doubt this won’t make me emotional in some regard,
