I’ve seen a couple tutorials on mushrooms, and I really love how realistic yours are! They’re great! And ohmigosh you actually felted the gills I thought they were embroidered at first!

Is the “natural white wool” what you used for your base on this project? All the classes I have done they have had us use the Merino colored wool for everything and I was thinking it has to be cheaper and maybe even easier to use something else for the base of the project? I’m wondering if I have been taught wrong all along now 😢

O my. I do feel the core wool or a base wool is the way to go.
It is cheaper by the ounce or pound then colored wool. So why use that much color if you don't have to?
However depending on how thick you creation is could change how you want to create it.
Say a thin item, the core wool could bleed through your color and you wouldn't want that. But where you can save, you can save.... if it is a larger item, I would save to color to use it on the outside and not the inside.
It could be and should be money saving depending on what you are making.
I have some more videos talking about wool specifically you might find helpful.
No worries, its okay, I am here to help! I'm sorry to hear your classes taught you otherwise, they must not be very experienced. This day and age you really have to do some research. I see a lot of imposters out there.
Plus you have to take into account different Artist Styles.
I have been working with wool 22 years.
I really hope you find my channel helpful.
      Happy Felting🌬❄🌲🤍

Love how the gills were made, was having trouble making them but I guess it just takes a lot of time felting and powering through xD

Yes, it is a patience thing and trying to make the lines close and slender. You will get it. Keep powering through.
      Happy Felting 🥰🌬❄️🌲🤍🍄

Toadstools were and still are my most favourite things to needle felt. I had to turn the volume off on this video because the 'music' is horribly distracting. For beginners, this is a lovely project but it's much too fast for them to follow. Such a shame as it's otherwise a lovely tutorial and I love the colours that you chose for each toadstool/mushroom.
    Thank you for sharing. 💕

@@SnowflakeForestFelting I just thought I'd let you know that my son was able to slow down your video by changing the speed in the settings. That helped me a lot because i'd love to replicate the tallest mushroom that flares out at the edge. That means I can have a relaxing day, indulging in needle felting which for me, is highly addictive. 🙂💞

      T. Kelly o boy this is about 72 hours of video sped up to into 12 minutes. I couldn’t imagine watching this slow! Lol. If you need tips on how to felt, videos are coming. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have!

Wendy Packham I’m sorry! This video is meant for someone who is already Felting and just wanted to see my process. Are you just getting into Felting? I have other videos that are more helpful and slower and teach the Felting the process. Could I direct you towards one or answer any specific questions you have? I am happy to help or explain anything you are seeing me do? I really am just piercing the wool over & over.
