Hello there. I subscribe to your channel because I'm trying to learn more about caring for my respiratory system. I am 52 years old and I was just diagnosed with chronic obstructive asthma. I have never smoked in my life but have a decreased vital capacity. I don't remember all the specifics because this is all new to me but I know they said that I don't exhale efficiently and gases may be trapped. Is there any way that you can do videos to help explain what's going on with me? I am trying to take the inhaled medications now to see if it can help open my airways and let some of the gases escape better but so far no luck. 😕. One big question I have is if aerobic exercise could help strengthen my breathing muscles helping me to breathe better or if that would just trap more gases. 🤷♀️
You might be diagonised with bronchitis. It's when alot of mucus is secreted by goblet cells blocking airways and some air is trapped inside the lungs only. It can even cause hypoxia or hypercarbia . And yes you mightn't have smoked your entire life but it can happen through pollutants, genetics and certain allergies. It's treatment is that you must avoid all the risk factors and try supplemental 02 and medications include bronchodilators, inhaled steroids, antibiotics. Good luck.

Informative but can you talk normal
I thought this comment was unnecessary until halfway through the video
It's so annoying 😂
Yes this is right comment because your voice is little bit typical to understand
