I loved all of it! And this video is just gorgeous and I LOVE all the parallels and the voice-overs! (:

Ahhh, it's amazing! This season was just- I'm still emotionally recovering, and this is just bringing it all back. Keith's grown so much, I'm so glad he got a sort of happy ending at the end of season 6 with Allura bringing Shiro back and him being with his found family and his mum and cosmic wolf.

rewatching videos of voltron and i really think that keith was supposed to be the main character. We had all this build up and then he disappeared and the story leaned more towards lance being the main character. I like lance a lot, but im not gonna deny that i noticed the story revolved around his journey just a little more than the others. And I knew Keith was supposed to be a parallel to him and they were supposed to line up as two sides of the same coin who were gonna be the duo. Didnt happen, but it would've made sense. but I've always noticed how this was suposed to be Keith's story. him coming to terms to be a leader and actually being one. then when the producers revealed that shiro was supposed to die in earlier seasons but came back bc of fan popularity, but they didnt have time nor the budget to rewrite and reanimate new scenes, so they basically put him over where keith was supposed to be and then sent keith away so there wasnt just a person left out. when i heard that, thats when i knew. out of all the people in this show, i think keith was robbed the most. this was his journey to let his walls down in order to actually make the paladins his family, but instead sent him away and when he came back things were still kind of tense because of the lack of true build up with the cast. i noticed that they say they felt like family but watching it i barely even saw them really really bonding and when keith went away and returned like nothing really happened. and the paladins just suddenly get better and take out various enemy ships even though only allura has true battle experience and everyone else is new to fighting and much less killing people. this series really made me kind of disappointed. and keith is my favorite character. out of the entire cast, i think he was the one who should've been kicking and crying and throwing a fit, but as the seasons go on, he doesn't do that. and then by season 6, he matured greatly. his mom left him as a child. his dad died right before his eyes. the only, only person he had was shiro and maybe adam on the side, but i wouldnt really count him. he had been left by himself in his shed for so long. he should've been the main character and im pretty sure he was, until he suddenly wasnt as shown in later seasons.
Well my favorite character is Keith too so i can understand what you mean and i was so pissed when they sent keith away and all that but after some time i accepted the fact that he needed to leave the team for some time , not for the team and not for shiro but for himself!! Like compare s3 Keith and s6 keith , in s3 keith was lacking self-confidence and was convinced that he shouldn't be the leader and that shiro is the right leader of Voltron and all these things. Keith needed to understand his worth and grow more mature and wiser , also did you see how team Voltron was making shows , dancing , singing and doing weird things in s4 after Keith left! For me i wouldn't want to see keith in these shows it would be so weird for me to see him doing all these things and wasting his time like that! Also keith needed to find his mom and understand why she left and he needed to take that journey with her in s6 to the altean colony , you know that they spent 2 years in this journey right! Keith needed this 2 years , he needed to bond with his mom and understand the truth , and he needed to grow older and wiser , and also that journey helped him understand more about being a leader ( from his mom ). Also I didn't really see that they were focusing on lance too much , lance wasn't the main character and he will never be the main character he only found his lion before anyone else that's the special thing about him and his lion but he is not even close of becoming the main character , lance didn't really get much character development and he didn't even get much screen time! Yes Keith left for 2 seasons but i am sure keith got screen time in the whole show more than any character did , and actually in s4 and s5 they weren't focusing on lance alot they had more important things and characters to focus on , oh and also I didn't really like the idea of shiro dying in season 2 , like i understand that it would be probably better if he died but i still don't like the idea and i feel like keith needed the fight in s6 ( with the clone ) i feel like it helped his character grow a little , he Kind of let go of shiro after s6 , like he didn't focus on shiro more than the other paladins in s7 and s8 like he used to do , keith become such a perfect character in s7 after all he gone through and his ending too was much greater than the others' ending! Alright i am gonna shut up now because i wrote a lot and you won't probably read all that 🤷🏽

Ok so please don’t hurt me, I think Keith’s story is the saddest. Just hear me out, he lost his dad at a young age, his mom left(yes to protect him but she still left). He was probably in the system for a long time, most likely kicked out of a lot of homes, which made him feel not wanted even more. He was picked on at the Garrison, lost shirt, kicked out of the Garrison. Gets picked on by Lance, is the loner outsider because that’s how people treat him. He doesn’t know who/what he is, then he finds out he’s part of the alien race that’s trying to take over the galaxy. He loses Shiro AGAIN. Becomes leader against his will, put down by the rest of the team because of it. Shiro turns on him. When they return to earth he’s reminded that he has no family waiting for him. And whatever else I forgot. Please please please don’t hurt me this is just my opinion.
Shiro died, Keith almost died to save the universe and no body asked or he told no body about it, Allura hated him and no body at the Garrison really liked him at all!
