as someone who's had "exotic animals" their entire life, I really really do appreciate you telling people not to get certain exotics without doing extensive research first. I used to be a part of an animal recuse group and they amount of times we'd receive tegus, large tortoise species, savannah monitors, etc because of people who impulse purchase animals in astronomical. To answer your question in the video I currently only house one exotic; an Iran Jaya blue tongue skink named Sin, and she's doing lovely!

That said, not all domestics are for everyone either. I LOVE dogs with a passion, but I know I cannot give a dog the companionship and time needed right now. So I simply don't adopt one.
I always find it really comforting that many animal lovers start their careers at a very young age. The fact that you started at 10 really shows your love and dedication to your animals! Keep up the good work!

And some people skydive for the love of the freedom of flying, even though skydiving accidents can happen? It's kinda like that for me. I love, live and breathe animals with every beat of my heart. I've travelled the world and caught/studied venomous snakes, lived in the jungle for weeks on end and worked with a huge variety of animals. I can't get enough of them. Yes, some animals can be more dangerous than others, but the risk is worth it to me. If everyone thinks about what interests them, there are risks with everything. If your thing is shopping, there's a risk of debt. If you love cars and race them, you could crash. For me, it's animals, and sometimes I get bitten. Luckily, I've not been envenomated so far, and I try to take every precaution within reason.
Emzotic I aswell love animals of all shapes and sizes my uncle worked with venomous snakes for years and I own many reptiles yet I still couldn't bring myself to have one in the room were I sleep! You have got more courage than I do hats of to you! Keep up the amazing work!

U cant die from centipede bite, atleast not if you are an adult and some what healthy, only one reported death supposed to be caused by a centipede and that was a 7 year old girl whom were bit in the head and died 29 hours later. So not very likley you will die from a bite, think about it. How many people been bitten over the years and only one death? It will hurt like hell tough. 😝
First of all I ha e to say you are very brave for having a centipede in your bedroom I could never ever even go near them I have a phobia of centipedes and things like that seriously I'm okay with most things like bugs but centipedes I can never do that.
I had a shiver start at the base of my neck and travel all the way down my spine watching that centipede move.. Just had another one remembering it. They freak me out SO much. Idk how people can keep some animals, I'd never sleep knowing that was in my house.. Once I went to a friend's place and sat down on the couch and heard this weird clacking noise behind me and when I turned around there was a terrarium with a tarantula in it, and he'd stacked books on top to keep it in, but it was so strong it was lifting the lid a tiny bit, so it would lift and clack down, lift and clack, and it's leg was peeking out like less than a foot from my head. Didn't even know he'd gotten one. Freaked me right out. I respect people who want them, they're just totally not for me. I'll keep my dog thanks lol..

I find that my snails are happiest to interact with me when I give them a gentle bath, or when I hold their favourite foods close to them so that they can eat from my hands :)
There was a centipede in my house a while ago. I didn’t see it as I was walking out of my room and nearly stood on it! I freaked out and told my mother. My dog was near it and I told her to come to me (to which she didn’t) and instead she walked right over it and towards my mother. I was freaking out and my mother (this was kinda stupid) took a small broom and the thing that’s attached it, sweeps the centipede into it and try’s to hold it down using the bristles of the broom. It was wriggling around and nearly touched my mothers hand! She took it outside and let it loose in the garden. To this day I am sacred it will return!! (Probably the scariest moment of my life)

when I give them a gentle bath, or when I hold their favourite foods close to them so that they can eat from my hands :)

There was a centipede in my house a while ago. I didn’t see it as I was walking out of my room and nearly stood on it! I freaked out and told my mother. My dog was near it and I told her to come to me (to which she didn’t) and instead she walked right over it and towards my mother. I was freaking out and my mother (this was kinda stupid) took a small broom and the thing that’s attached it, sweeps the centipede into it and try’s to hold it down using the bristles of the broom. It was wriggling around and nearly touched my mothers hand! She took it outside and let it loose in the garden.
To this day I am sacred it will return!!
