- This is not a review!! This is just a test ride for me. I am an A2 beginner and I am looking for the perfect first bike for me. Will it be the new Benelli cruiser 502C?

I know they are very different bikes - tourer vs cruiser, but did you have a preference for either this bike or a bike like the cbr 500r. I'm a newly returned veteren rider (50 yo , off the bike for 10 years). I've always had semi sports orientated bikes. But thinking maybe cruiser is a nice way to return to casual riding... any comments welcome. (from AUstralia)
Hello Murray, I think this question can only be answered by ... you! I've been on so many bikes in the past two years and I basically liked all of them. But that is only for a short test ride. I think it largely depends on what you are planning to do with it. I know someone who has been riding the CBR500R about 150 km each day and he never gets tired of it. But is he a cruiser kinda person? I don't think so. :) You know what I mean. The same probably applies to ppl who own a cruiser. When it comes to me I can never really decide between this or that. A Kawasaki Vulcan S? Yes, maybe! A CBR500R, yes, maybe, too :) Sorry, that I can't be more helpful.
Are the vibrations really too high? did you notice any difference in the vibration level of the Benelli 502c black compared to the chestnut? thank you
Hello, I did notice vibrations in both of the bikes I tested, more in the maroon one, but I guess that did not depend on the color :) Maybe it was me noticing it differently or there were just differently tuned?!!? I have no idea. The reason why I am not thinking about the 502C anymore, the display and the sound of the exhaust which sounds kind of strange (I think). Thanks for stopping by.

FARBE (des Bikes) und DISPLAY scheint wichtig zu sein ...ok.
Aber ist das wirklich "wichtig" ????
Willst Du ein statisch 48 PS-Bike ODER eins , das man nach 2 Jahren auf volle Leistung "entkorken" kann ?
Solls ein Promenadencruiser sein oder "was richtiges" für "härtere Ritte" ....oder was für längere Touren ?
Soll sich eine Mitfahrerin ggf . darauf auch wohfühlen ? Man weiß es nicht ....
DAS (und einiges mehr) macht es dem Zuschauer schwierig , Deine Testfahrten (die Du KLASSE absolvierst) irgendwie einzuordnen.
Aber ....es ist natürlich DEIN KANAL ....und DU bestimmst, was wir wahrzunehmen haben .....👍
Nach allem, was ich so gesehen habe ..... die Z 900 (mit nachträglich gekürztem HECK) .... wäre meine Empfehlung .
Das Teil hat Potenzial ...auch über A2 hinaus.
Die Benelli im aktuellen Video gefällt mir auch (bis auf den Nummernschildhalter) .
Mein (ungefragter) Rat .... das Display eines Motorrads .... ist zweitrangig ....
Federung , Sitzkomfort , Motorcharakteristik , Bremsen , WIE PFLEGE ICH DIE KETTE (!?) ....DAS ist wichtig .....

Hallo lieber Heidebiker, vielen Dank für den netten Kommentar. Du wirst lachen (oder auch nicht?!) aber wenn du mich wirklich fragst, was ich denn nun suche, ist die Antwort ganz einfach ... ich habe keine Ahnung 😂
Vielleicht kannst du jetzt besser verstehen, warum ich alles quer Beet teste. Da ich noch überhaupt keine Erfahrungen mit Bikes habe, ist es für mich schwierig, wie ich mich festlegen soll.
Ich glaube, ich entscheide am Schluss einfach mit dem Würfel :)
Allerdings muss ich auch dazu sagen, dass ich bisher auf sehr wenigen Bikes saß, die mir überhaupt nicht gefallen haben; es gab jedoch auch keines so richtig, wo alles nach meinen Wünschen gepasst hat. Also heißt es dann wohl Abstriche machen. Bleib gespannt, ich kenne das Ergebnis selber noch nicht. Vielleicht sollte ich wirklich einfach wie eine Frau entscheiden ... nach der Farbe

danach hast Du vielleich neue Präferenzen ...wer weiß ....
Du machst das schon ! .... Teste ruhig weiter ....aber vielleicht auch mal ne andere "Art" Motorrad ... was höheres zB.

i am 5'6" and 28 inside leg and i can reach no problem not only that its one of the best bikes i have ever owned and believe me ive had a few it is sooo comfortable but at the same time engaging to ride i ride with fast riders on some proper bikes and they can pull away on a straight but i am all over them in the bends. The 502c is an astonishing bike that you need to ride over a good few weeks to appreciate. i have done a long term test of this bike mite be worth a watch. inc fitting of accessories to ua-cam.com/video/edrXjTNfBRo/v-deo.html
If your going to compare it to anything , it should be the honda rebel 500. As you mentioned the cb500 range
Yes, of course you are right, but I'm mostly comparing it to bikes I have ridden or will be able to test ride, but the Rebel I couldn't and I won't be. They don't have any Rebels to test here :(
I bought one in Australia, performance is excellent. Annoyingly it has an unusual and strong vibration at 3500 - 4000 rpm range in all gears... Feels like something is not right in the front end??
Congratulations on your new bike. Sorry about the vibrations. My CB500X had vibrations at 6000 rpm and i didn't like it either. I didn't notice any of these vibrations while testing the Benelli, however, I usually have them for only an hour or so. What did your dealer say?
if you use 6th gear to run 100km/hr is the vibration smaller? I noticed you were running it at 5th gear

Bike looks pretty nice despite being a rip-off design from Ducati. However, they had to ruin it with the display. I'd disable night or light mode and make it work only in one mode if that's possible. Perhaps change it as well
Is it equipt with slipper clutch?
Hello, that is a very good question. Since I cannot find anything mentioned in the technical specs on the Benelli website, I would imagine it does NOT have one. However, I did feel the clutch engagement was very smooth and linear.

Because it is A2 complaint or it could go up to 68bhp.
