I have one that I bought less than year ago. I'm very pleased with it. Quite beautiful and good quality

I bought one. For the price the quality of the work and look is pretty surprising. I owned a few electric guitars before including a Gibson Night Hawk. I'm convinced the my IYV plays at least as well as the Gibson and sounds great. I actually wrote to the owner and said, "I don't know how you build this guitar for the price range.'.

So mine arrived and will need some upgrade to stay in tune. I did 3 gigs with it as it came. Upgrades: rolling saddles, tuner keys and nut may need a change too. Oh, pups. They are too hot for the music I play. The Duesenberg hasn't arrived yet. I ordered Wilkinson tuners, and I m thinking of buying a Chinese Epiphone pup, Probucker set. I have them in my hollow body and they sound very well.

I have the same guitar. After shipping and tax it was around $140. I had the same experience. I cannot find any blemishes whatsoever. I had to tighten the truss rod and lower the action on the bridge but the set up was easy. It is a beautiful guitar. The tuners hold tune very well. I have no idea how they can make such a great instrument and sell it at this price.

$140 American? These things are going for over 300 used in Canada. How does the USA get away with such low prices. Must be a import fees. This is what happens with you live in a communist country

I bought one but sold it . I kept asking myself why i sold it and there was n good answer. It was perfect but a guy bugged me until i sold it to him. Well, after days of regretting that decision, i ordered another one from Amazon and it is also perfectly set-up. Pickups are very good and everything about the guitar is spot on. I'll keep it this time. Thanks for the video.

I just got one of the exact same, and it's really pretty good. I'm going to have to polish the Frets though they're really rough. And the intonation is off but I think I can fix that pretty easily.

Back in 2021 I purchased an IYV IJZ 300 TSB. It arrived in a "resealed box". (This is a red flag on the common practice of Amazon, to re-sell returned items) It was aesthetically beautiful, but the trapeze tailpiece was off centered by nearly 1/4" rendering it unplayable. I've never had the ball of a string snap off when tuning. This happened twice while trying to tune the high E. Amazon promptly replaced my returned item with yet another "resealed box" returned guitar. This one had a finish blem, a 3" dark dye, icicle shape on the back in the horn area. Other than the standard issues that are common with low/mid priced guitars IE. Cheap pots, gritty frets, dry fret board, intonation and set up. This was, and still is an amazing instrument. The take away from this is: Repackaged guitars from Amazon, are rejected, returns that need to be carefully inspected. They did the same thing with an Eart 335 that had a saddle that couldn't be intonated, and had to be rebuilt (reversed) on the G. Again an aggravating policy that they engage in. Selling items as new when clearly they've been returned. All this said, I LOVE this guitar, and would highly recommend it. The price point is ridiculously low and the product punches well above its cost. The play-ability, is sublime once conditioned and set up. The QC is spotty, but IMHO worth the risk, as currently (10-23) it is selling for 179.01 USD . Hope this helps! Here's the review I gave on this product: A terrific value. the quality control is the only real issue I have with this IYV. Unfortunately I had to return the first one i received as the tailpiece was offset from the bridge by 1/4". This caused the high e string to snap (actually pulling the brass fitting out the string). In over 50 years of playing, I've never had a string unravel as this did, twice. Finish blems are acceptable at this price point, as are pot quality. That said the pots on this are passable and the the thin stain on the body ( which becomes really apparent under bright light) again is acceptable @ 196 USD. Overall had I not had the the misfortune of getting an unplayable instrument the first time. I would readily give this a 5 Star rating. 5 Stars + for customer service tho. I contacted the seller the day I received my defective product. They scheduled a label drop the next day. I had the product repackaged and gave it to UPS. I had my replacement in 3 days! Terrific customer service response.

Mine was ok I needed to level the frets crown and polish but any guitar player should be able to do this..I mean spot level with a fret rocker...They all need polishing at least..Buy some tools and if you own more than one guitar take the time to learn the basics its life changing.

Same fret, neck nut cut and bridge as my epi alpine custom. It had a few bad finish spots on the body binding and around the neck joint but who cares . The neck pickup seemed louder I lowered both and raised the pole pieces, that gave more clarity and less sizzle. I want a hotter bridge pickup but these cnc wound do sound good. I tweaked the trussrod tighter and got the bridge low as it will go( i may lap the bridge to make it thinner or order a guyker epi LP bridge and lap it then change it.yea I need a little more scream outa the pickups.

Where are you going to find a better looking, and sounding guitar for the price, this guitar was my first IYV purchase, and I liked it so much that I now have 5 other IYVs,all have been top notch guitars,no need to do any upgrades on these guitars, tuners work just fine and pickups sound great, enjoy.

I got the semi hollow body in June. My friends kinda laughed at me... Until they took it for a test ride with my baby Marshall MG10... How does that Sass Jordan song go?
I will make you a believer... It needed a bit of set up, but not much, strings you're comfy with.
I love it... In all seriousness, jump on them before they start turning the market sideways and they start raising the prices simply because they can.

Very poor packaging means buying one of these guitars is very chancy. Mine is very nice, but damage during transit is common. They are make in Vietnam.

Mine plays good and didn't need much set up but it had cosmetic flaws in the finish. But you have to look hard to see them. It has a fast neck with vintage sounding pickups not bad for the price. I paid more in 72 for a harmony rocket!
