Further when we check the top speeds on the straights, Bau is still the fastest rider and the only one over 280km. And further ...SSP has the same weight limit since two years. Why should SBK's be different then the smaller class? The weight limits for the SBK's were announced by FIM over two years ago that they will apply the same rule as for the SSP class. If in any way it helps Toprak, it helps ALL riders and helps equal competition for a certain grade.
Weight limit restriction does not only provide an advantage to a single moto rider; it is subject to possible modulation for all riders in the paddock.

WSBK killed Bautista domination by bulking his bike weight + cutting RPM in order to give Toprak a chance to win the championship. That's why Motogp is the best motor race.
Strange that bulega seems to be doing quite well despite the obvious weight difference. Also, they could give back kawasaki their max revs and we could see how well that bike would perform.
Despite the extra weight, Bautista is still the lightest. Although the RPM regulation, Ducati still has the highest RPM of all manufacturers. And how you explain that Bulega on the same bike beats Bautista with ease and keeps up with Toprak and at the same time, all the other BMW riders are far from the podium. The Ducati is still the best bike in the field.
