As a big fan of Toprak and I'm really disappointed with the existence of weight limit regulation in WSBK, because I want to see him beat all riders without the help of weight limit regulation.
This is a myth. Because every rider has weights on his bike. Bau as the lightest rider has the most but as they only need to carry 50% of the difference to 80kg..Bau has still an advantage. Further when we check the top speeds on the straights, Bau is still the fastest rider and the only one over 280km.
And further ...SSP has the same weight limit since two years. Why should SBK's be different then the smaller class?
The weight limits for the SBK's were announced by FIM over two years ago that they will apply the same rule as for the SSP class. If in any way it helps Toprak, it helps ALL riders and helps equal competition for a certain grade.

How is legal for BMW to have that huge downforce wing in the front while Yamaha and Kawasaki doesn't have any?
His team mates at 7th place (if I'm not mistaken). Bigger downforce will surely reduce maximum speed. It's the manufacturer's choice on how they want to tune their weapon.

WSBK killed Bautista domination by bulking his bike weight + cutting RPM in order to give Toprak a chance to win the championship. That's why Motogp is the best motor race.

If adding 3kg to Bausitas bike is enough to stop him he's a poor rider with no talent. If he was good he'd ride around the problem.
Strange that bulega seems to be doing quite well despite the obvious weight difference. Also, they could give back kawasaki their max revs and we could see how well that bike would perform.
