Santa cruz Pivot Service, Hidden grease nipple located underneath the lower linkage pivot system, how to get to it and grease the lower links bearings.
My bottom link was missed in my last service (tried a different mechanic), thought I’ll do it myself instead of bringing it back. Great video, very informative!
Ive got a Tallboy 3 and a Tallboy 4. Love them both. To be same model they are very different. TB3 is built like an XC bike. Size XL and weighs just over 25lbs. TB4 is a true trail bike. Weighs 31lbs and is running bomb proof wheels. Have to say that I spend considerable more time keeping the TB4 running smoothly and 95% of that is dealing with Lower link issues. Already cracked 2 pivot axles on TB4 (which SC replaces for free but still keeps me off trail).
Best remove completely & clean / grease bearings rather than use the grease nipple. If you use the nipple the grease just takes the easiest path - between the bolt & the inside surface of the bearing case rather than through the bearing case.
Excellent! Best video I could find. My bike and me say thank you, Sir!!
Thanks for watching and your comment

How long before each service should it be greased?

Best to just re-pack with XHP222 special.
