I have always loved that area. We live in the Bay Ara for years. And would go through Folsom on our way to the mountains all the time. I need to check out the train next time
It's such a beautiful area - i feel blessed that I used to live not too far away. Great video - good music choice too! And yes...who doesn't know about Folsom Prison from Johnny Cash! Thanks for sharing this!
Lived in California until 21 and never made a trip there. I guess as a child and teen with out driving you only go where your parents take you. Ooh love that shop. Great trailer
Seems like a really cool area that we never really knew existed. Thanks for bringing us along on this journey and we were glad to see only thing that was hurt was the pride and the pants.
I had no idea about walking to the left on paths! (hopefully I would have seen the signs, tho). sorry about your fall - I’m (Andie) super clumsy, so I can relate.
Not my drone, as we don't own one. But, I found a new hack. Free footage on Canva (if you're a premier subscriber). Whaaa!? I couldn't believe I found of Folsom.
@@StephenandAndie dude. Old man fall. I was filming and was not looking where I was going. Too bad I didn't catch it on film as I just turned the camera off. Thank god, really.
Hey there! Thanks for checking it out! I am not picky when it comes to pizza, but, with that said, Pizzeria Classico is possibly the best! Chicago Fire is no longer in old town Folsom. Sooooo, Classico it is!
Thank you Grace! And you reminded me, I have a couple of your "Live" session "podcasts" on YT saved as material, or homework, for a video I will be doing. Cheers!
ADJUST YOUR AUDIO!!! Way to loud to survive the pumped up background music, so you turn it down to lower the blast - then the audio dialogue is to low to understand. So you are continually adjusting volumes to make it through this beautiful video.
Agreed! Yes, admittingly, the volume of this video is horrible. Sounds like I am talking through a tin can and seems like I have the same song throughout with awful sound levels. 😳My editing has gotten much better since this video! Surprisingly, this video is my second most watched video, and even the title is misleading. Should have been, maybe, "The History of Folsom." I appreciate you sticking through it, and thanks for subscribing! 🥤
Interesting, and quite topical these days, about the homeless. I am not sure on this stretch of greenbelt in Folsom, but as far as the entirety of the Sacramento region, yes, yes, and yes. When the homelessness start infiltrating the suburbs, then you know it's an issue. Folks in Folsom, and my town, neighboring Roseville are "losing" their minds about it too. I am more understanding, but it does get frustrating when these folks start living by the creeks, rivers, and greenbelts. We live in a greenbelt, and I know they are down there. The City of Roseville has a helpful program trying to re-house them and get them out of the greenbelts, but these folks have TO WANT to get help.
If you ever see anybody with missing teeth, ask that person if they do crank/drugs/meth. If they tell you “no,” ask them why there teeth is missing. Question where they buy the drugs/crank/meth at, so you can get the law enforcement to arrest these drug addicts and drug dealers. The only place that has it is Orangevale, California.
We love living here. You captured some great scenery and I throughly enjoyed the history. I’ve worked at the prison for 13 years. Keep up the content.
Appreciate it!
Not a travel channel watcher normally... but I love watching these trips...this is truly an honest as it is, travel channel..love it
You know I appreciate your patronage Paul. If you have to watch one travel channel, make it ours lol! Hopefully this history was interesting.
Wow what beautiful place, very unique and weather is awsome. Thank you for sharing

Thank you Michelle for checking in! Appreciate you visiting.
Whoa! This video was great. Love those old towns that stay the same with original buildings and really like hearing the history.
Thank you Casey! Anywhere you go, there is going to be SOMETHING interesting about a towns history, right?
@@SippyCupAdventures Absolutely. I live in a Historic town and have my whole life. I still learn new things about it all the time.

Yeah, for the first time in any of my videos, I went "country" which I never do! When in Folsom.......right?
What a wonderful video, and so informative. Thank you so much for sharing 🌈🙏👍
Appreciate your support!
@@SippyCupAdventures it is deserved 👍🌈🙏
If you go to the bridge the bike/walking sides are reversed so they were walking on the correct side from their perspective

You like that trailer? Ha! Probably not very functional.
Thanks for showing around sir 🙏
The opening sequence was beautiful!!
Learned a new "hack." Found FREE drone footage!! Whaaaaa?

Folsom looks like a lovely place to hangout .. the buildings are so well maintained

You are in my neck of the woods! Old Folsom isn't what it use to be. It still is a fun place to visit though
I'd be curious to know how "it used to be?" Fun place nonetheless. Thanks for watching!

Are there a lot of homeless camps along these routes? Portland has so many.

Walk on left and bike on right? That's the opposite of here in San Francisco. Interesting.
Yeah, I am learning that cities have their own "thought." I thought this was universal, apparently not. Thanks Paul!
That’s my backyard !
