The Renegade Zerg attacked us back on Tarsonis. Now that we figured out that the UED may not have that firm of a hold over the Overmind as we anticipated, it's time to head back to the Protoss.
In this video I play the the seventh mission of the Zerg Campaign of the StarCraft: Brood War expansion called "Drawing the Web".

so it's idle for 25 minutes of the game just because lowko is unable to click on the minerals at the start of the game. probably played too much SC2 where all your workers start mining immediately ;)

When you get the chance to use Queens again...Parasite the critters. Free vision is free vision.
Queens are usable on this map. They're fun too, since there's so many kakarus you can Parasite. They fly all over the map and the Protoss don't attack them.

You can also parasite your own overlords before moving them forward since they are getting stolen by Dark Archons. You'll keep their vision and detection even though they are not yours anymore.

Duran's lockdown would have really helped defending against those Dragoons early on, as well as against Reavers later.
Having an outer ring of spotting Overlords to see attacks incoming in advance (as well as find those additional free bases…) would also have made things a lot easier and would have saved the need for all those Sunkens
In this mission you really should parasite some of the critters because they scout the whole map for you. Parasite a lot of them and you get advance warning of many Protoss attacks.
BaddeJimme that's what we used to do back in the day when we had Zerg. It's especially good with flying creatures.
I remember the AI used to kill off parasited critters or even their own parasited dropships back in the mission when Kerrigan hatched.
Seriously? The AI did that? i did not notice this on my last walkthrough. Would be nice to see this recorded.

Lol I saw that too. The dark archon's main goal seems to be supply blocking Lowko
and getting rid off the detection :P
It kinds of makes sense though. Lore-wise the Overlord's function is to extend the influence of the cerebrate over the Zerg creatures, right? So technically if you control the overlords you control the units.
Rotten Muffin the thing that bugs me about that is that we still have control over all of our units after losing an overlord. Let's say the supply block was 58/50, lore-wise, wouldn't it make more sense if we also lost control over 8 supply worth of our units?

I played this back in '98 as a teenager and it took me a bunch of replays and a lot of reloads! With tg=his remastered version, I'm was struggling quite a lot.
I managed finally, only to find the next mission even to be even harder!
Drinking cofee while all protoss dying. Most satysfying moment.

They would've been mind-controlled though, so it's nice that Lowko stuck to Hydras/Lurkers.

i'm a noob. that mission is pretty much impossible for someone of my skill.
You can parasite critters with queens, and get a lot of vision that way in the campaign.
When a scarab comes at one of your units you need to move it backwards at the exact moment it explodes. The explosion animation takes half a second and only then does it deal it's damage. If you do it correctly your unit will survive, because it will only take the lowest amount of splash damage. You can take a lurker and move it back and forth until the reavers are out of scarabs, then kill them with cracklings.
You can parasite the flying critters with a queen so they give you some vision instead of killing them.
Instead of killing critters as someone suggested, you could use Queen's parasite on them so they can explore the map for you. Especially useful on flying critters

Lowko check your mineral lines more often because you had a couple of idle drones for almost the hole game

Gotta say the lurkers really saved the day quite a few times! You should be making Nydus canals though. Makes your life MUCH easier in this mission.
That one drone though that was slacking off the whole mission. I was so aggravated ^^
I like to use parasite on those wild criters, as they travel all over the map and do not get attacked

Some theorize it's because he got married or something. But nobody really knows. It doesn't bother me that he left, but it hurts that he just disappeared with no warning.
He is managing Rosanna Pansino's channel these days. No clue why he just left his own channel though. For me that seems like such a waste plus he really made his fans sad for not even telling that he is quitting.

I don't know if it's bad luck to kill critters, but Blizzard did make a UMS co-op scenario for Brood War called Twilight Struggle where the difficulty increases if you kill a Kakaru(the critter on the Shakuras map you were playing).
Killing critters? Na, just case parasite on them and use them as spy’s 🕵️ (especially the flying ones!) Always do this on Zerg missions!

By this time it should be pretty obvious to anyone that something's quite fishy about Duran even for an infested terran. How the hell does he know Talematros so well, eh?
Iirc the remastered campaign was changed heavily story wise to line up better with sc2. That being said we know that pretty much each faction can scan or detect what's on the surface of a planet.
Left click a critter about 50 times and they explode.
Also can use lockdown on Duran on dragoons, scouts, and other mechanical units as well (reavers, shuttles, carriers, obs)
Next mission is THE REAL DEAL, gonna be so awesome an hour+ episode or mbe hour 'n a half :D

Lowko should do a playthrough of the wings of liberty campaign (again) after he finishes with the Remastered Campaign.

If you aren't going to kill the critters, then at least parasite them for more vision.

Lowko, u can Parasite (Queen's ability) critters and they'll provide u with vision, since enemy unis don't auto-attack them ;)

Please rapidly click on a random critter on the map, you might have to do it for a minute but I promise you you'll be in for a huge surprise if you do that!
It's a better easter egg than Radio free zerg :D
Try parasite detect the flying critters. The AI will auto route them for easy free scouting
Next time when you see a creature, try spam click on it as fast as you can! :)

No air units! Oh, except overlords, and queens. I forgot how I finished this, but I'm pretty sure I went crazy with static d. DT's had me on tilt. It was probably mostly ultra for the right side, hydra for the left. I hope I made defilers. Plague so broken.
Lowko I never see you use the spells of the queens. did you know you can put a parisite in a enemy so you can see what that unit see? you can also do that with the critters so they can be used for scout/early warning. If u use the spawn broodlings it kills the unit and 2 broodlings come out of it. very helpfull for tanks. keep doing your amazing work I realy like this serie. (soms denk ik wel dat je minder moet focussen op de control groepen).
The beginning of this episode is a great example of why I always connect all of my zerg bases with Nydus canals. If one gets ambushed, it'l be easy to reinforce it from another base.
That moment when Lowko said "I like Zerg so much" with a passion, I almost came
18:54 don't put your lurker so far into your base. put them outwards. the reaver's splash damage on your static defense will kill your lurkers. It makes no sense when the static defenses are being damaged when reavers could be finished off by the lurkers before the static defense are fatally damaged.
You can just sneak into the right bases with duran :D fun map to speedrun

Lowko, you would spend all that 6k money and do a Drone rush.
Lowko can try to challange to finish last zerg mission after defending for 30 minutes. That would be VERY HARD to do.
You can't make air, but can make overlords?
Parasite critters and transports. Have eyes everywhere. It's a zerg thing, having lots of eyes.
Lowko should tottaly get Queens and parasprite the Kakadus... why you don't use them at all? And Defilers?
Hey Lowko, at SC1 they can see you 100% of the time, and i noticed they ALWAYS attack the place with less turrets (didn't make the experiment with troops, just turrets). So, about you put a lot of sunken colonies at one place and they home in by the other side... It's normal, try using turrets to defend one place and troops to defend where have lack of turrets, i think it might work and be an easy trick against the A.I. :P
How come you didn't expand a tad further north and west in order to build up defenses at the chokepoints for your 3 bases so you defend 2 spots instead of esentially 4 (1 for the 2 epxpansions and the north and west side in your main base) i'm a total noob and I don't even play SC I'm genuienely curios if its a good play. ty

when you're storing up more resources than you can spend, why don't you go for upgrades? you could have 3 evo chambers at once and you'd be on 3-3 in no time...

This mission wasn't too hard for me as the last 2 missions. Just annoying to have to move around so slowly.

If you put the parasite on a critter you can move it, of course if you stop controlling it that will go wherever it wants, but can be helpful for scouting
Parasite doesn't let you control units, it just gives you vision.
correct. dark archon mind control let's you control them, and yes, they will move at their own will when you stop giving them orders.
