Hi Marcos, Gratitude for your comment. There are several ways of doing the same work. You could even right click on the axis option and select the preferred axis instead of clicking V line. Please note the title of the tutorial. Creating axis is the easiest way a beginner can understand. Hope that clears your concern. Let me know If you have any other doubts..!! Thank You
why we are using wireframe and surface design??? why can't we use part design directly??? Please, clarify my doubt. I am following most of your videos ...they are really helpfull..
U can convert the center line to axis and then do the revolve.. if thats not the one then give me the specific time where you get the error. Thank You..!!
If you click on the links of the specification tree, It will turn gray and the Part Body wont be active, to regain it back you can again click on the link. Thank You..!!
axis problem solved now i have problem with the slot definition icon - 1st i couldnt click on it because it was grey - i changed surface to closed - the icon is active now but when i click on the helix it says i have to change the boolean things- thickness etc , can u help me plz ? :P
Hi Tanvi, Revolve tool will be available in Wireframe and surface design or under Generative shape design workbench, you need to shift your workbench to one of the above to find this tool.

This man teaches the best way with narration of what he is doing. I used NX but many operations on catia are similar.

To construct a cylinder all you need to do is draw a circle in a sketch and extrude it in part design.

Looks nice. I usually just draw a cylinder and on the 2D-drawing put an arrow that says: "knurl".

you do not need to extrapolate, helix curve feature lets you select a negative starting angle.
Where to find revolution surface. I have searched for this option almost every possible tools. But not getting any.
