I'm new to these kinds of board games, and this video was such an interesting introduction. I'm amazed by some of the designs and creativity. It's clear how much passion goes into them. Thanks for making the world of board games feel so approachable.
After seeing Survival of the Fattest on 3 Dice Tower lists my wife and I got it to the table and it was a huge hit. We did a livestream and Dirty Rascal Games actually joined us for the entire stream and clarified questions and reminded us of things.
Thanks for the great ideas for lesser known games. A good game I got in 2024 which may have been released in 2023 is On the Underground New York and Paris maps. We play a lot of Ticket to Ride and On the Underground has some similarities yet is different enough to be engaging. Like Ticket to Ride there is also some other versions (maps) offered. 😊
Spark Riders was an absolute hit for us - the initial release of the app had all the concerns you should’ve been weary of but the first patch ironed out almost all of them. Big kudos to the Arkada Studio team for running an excellent campaign and providing consistent updates to the ongoing development of the game.
Battle of Versalles is one of my most 2024 played Games. I love how the theme are implemented on the actions, also how It mantains a Twilight Struggle feeling but into a 40 min Game. Great list, i am intrigued by a couple of your picks.
Thanks for the list! Perhaps one that fits this category for me is Dragon Keepers - you and another channel brought it up, so I got it and like it very much!
Great video with some interesting picks, definitely gonna check some of these out. Can't help but notice though that you are rushing yourself more in solo videos compared to the ones with others. It might help if you tried to slow down once in a while or take short pauses between games (even if it is just 2 seconds).
I'm wondering why are the most games are unexpected? Famous publishers and designers, already known games from many channels and Kickstarter. Half of the list doesn't look unexpected to me.
Because they were surprises to her. A game that she felt she wouldn't like but ultimately did. These games are outside her normal play style. It's a subjective list.

Brought my copy of Reforest with me on vacation, and was just pulling it out to play after starting this video. Great little game!
Thanks! These are all games I need to check out. Haven’t heard of most of them until now.
Great video, helps me find a few gems I haven't really given a look. Thanks!

So happy to hear you enjoyed Survival of the Fattest and it will be staying in your collection! :)
A lot of interesting games this year. Nice and thank you.

Played Let’s go yesterday for the first time. The experience was way better than my read of the rulebook lead me to expect.
Great list!

Thanks for the video. I must have been out of it a bit, because I only know Let's Go to Japan... and it is really a very nice game!
Thx👍
Which one is best at 2?
Mesos looks a bit like a bigger version of Elawa. Is that an apt comparison?
Survival of the fattest is now on my check out list.
