Took a bit to take in that I was having a son cause it’s so different. I was in love with my daughter when she was born but there really is something special about having a son. Personally I find my girly is a total daddy’s girl and let me warn you, boys love their mama, I keep hearing other moms say the same thing boys are sooo sweet to mom from day one! Mine is now 6 and he’s the sweetest kid! My girly is so sweet too but deff has more of a fiesty side to her. She’s mine after all ;)

I can totally validate your feelings about not being a boy (no mans land as you said)! But God will take care of it all. I was terrified when I found my first was a boy. But Beth!! Oh my! I ended up with 3 boys and wouldn’t trade it for the world - boys are an amazing gift (girls are too of course). You will relate to your boy and it will be amazing. Keep them covered during diaper changes would be my best newborn advice 😉

You will be fine. I am a mom of 3 boys ages 13, 11, and 9. When your son gets old enough he will probably play with Legos and they will be all over the place. Boys are messy.
