Bro, we just got our starting 5 back, two games ago. Also Max in the starting lineup has made all of the difference in the world. Bron and AD can't do everything, with missing parts.
Like I keep telling this podcaster, DLO is one of our biggest issues. You remove him and add MaX, and this is a completely different team who is now the number 1 defense over the last 4 games. Yes we can still upgrade RUI and we can get a true center. This guy keeps harping on AR’s defense and inconsistency. Wrong. AR is not a top 3 issues on the lakers team. He is a top 3 positive for this team. What was the lakers record without AR vs with AR over the last 2-3 weeks? Night and day brother. Yes, lavine is an upgrade over AR, but not a 30 million dollar per year upgrade. Truthfully AR is a 20+ million/year player and one of the few assets the lakers have besides picks. Dont trade bron, AD, MaX, Dalton, or AR. Everyone else does not have positive value besides maybe woods. Pretty simple.
If vando comes back and ramps up to what he looked like before that Celtics game last year, we dont really need a big trade. Just maybe a trade for jonas if we can snag him cheap
Thank you!! I been saying this the whole time. I see media kill us like we are the prime Shaq/Kobe Lakers expected to win 3 in a row. They literally picked up to finish outside of the top 10, but hold us to a crazy standard. We are all clumped in together record wise, I don't hear the same heat for the other teams losing games. I hope we go on a run and shut up alot of people
The Lakers need to make a trade if they want a real shot at contending for a championship. They need athletic players who can defend and hit open shots. Trading for anyone outside that mold would be a mistake-just like the infamous Westbrick trade, one of the worst in NBA and sports history. The best target, in my opinion, would be Cam Johnson, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Day’Ron Sharpe. The Lakers have the contracts and draft capital to make it happen, including multiple first-round picks, pick swaps, and seconds. While they don’t need to use all their assets, they certainly have enough to pull off this trade. With Cam Johnson, the Lakers get a movement shooter who can score 20-30 points a night and hold his own defensively. DFS would bring 40% shooting from three and the ability to guard positions 2-4. Day’Ron Sharpe would add a young, physical, defensive-minded big man to strengthen the backup rotation. These additions would help both AD and LeBron conserve energy during games while improving the team’s offense and defense.
The problem is the front office’s reluctance to trade a first-round pick unless it’s for a star. Realistically, the Lakers can’t compete for a star-level player, so if they stick to that stance, it either shows they aren’t serious about winning a championship or don’t believe this team, even with a solid trade, can go all the way.
Everyone else seems to understand the game, except for the LA media and Lakers fans! LeBron and AD combined for almost 80 points, yet you all criticized them as “bums”! In the Atlanta game, LeBron had a triple-double with a chase-down block so sensational it made all the highlights, but the LA critics cabal attacked him as “lazy”, blamed him for the loss and said he didn’t play defense! What’s the point of having a team if LeBron and AD are the only contributors? Are you all watching the same games as the rest of us? LeBron doesn’t need to retire. AD and LeBron are both capable of helping a team win a championship. I like Christie, but the rest of the Lakers are liabilities.
Oh geez, we win a few games and suddenly we’re a title contender. This team needs to be broken up and rebuilt. But of course people like this guy are going to scream about making a trade and giving away our draft capital. There’s just no long term planning.
We are not, you're right. We aren't that far away tho. Get this team a big and a wing, and why can't we can't we get on a roll. I'm tired of giving all these other teams props like they did something. Denver deserves the props, okc is real. Outside of that nobody hasn't done anything we haven't done.
1/4 of the season and dealt with injuries from the gate, yet still only 3.5 games! The effort is a consistent problem, but salute 🫡 JJ , he got the team to buy in for 1 game. Let’s get that effort consistently 2 out of 3 games is what Phil Jackson said was consistency! I think the Lakers should package AR JHS JHayes MLewis ,DLo and 1 first and 3 second rd picks to get a defensive minded Center and star pg like DFox , TYoung, Melo Ball, RWilliams, JAllen. The Lakers will be set for post LBJ era. DFox,GVincent, QOlivari Max, Knecht , Bronnie Rui,CReddish, Armel Traore LBJ/Vando/ CWoods AD/RWilliams/Koloko
@ you say that every year this is a play in team 5 straight years for a reason they are trash you can’t have an injury prone roster and complain about injuries

IKR. Warriors lost by 50 and everyone was quiet about it.

Wtf Mavericks have a new logo?!
They need to replace him with someone else, he haven't played in three years.
They need to go and get Stanley Johnson back , snag Gary Payton jr from golden state warriors trade him for Gabe Vincent
