It's crazy that flaming star didn't do as well Gi blues.. his acting n story line where great.. it was originally meant for Brando n Sinatra.. the fans where yo blame they wanted elvis singing in them!! The formula was working n bringing the big bucks in! He was a great natural actor n underrated!! Great information!! 👍🏿👌🏾
Totally agree. What sells will always dictate the direction! To be honest I think all the films before Girls!..... are pretty good and Elvis shows he had a promising acting potential. After that, with a couple of exceptions he was just 'Elvis' in each one. Thanks again for watching J RC! 👍👍
Hello from England An interesting video. Well Done. Some great pics of Elvis and all the connections to his earlier life. Since covid messed up the human race over 18 months ago like most people i have had more time on my hands so i have spent some of that time listening to more music by the likes of Tom Jones, Matt Monro and of course Elvis. My late parents had a small collection of vinyl albums but nothing of Elvis so i am going to search my local charity shops and Vintage fairs to see if i can find any vinyl. I may get lucky. It is sad that Elvis never got the "chance" to tour the UK. We all have our own opinions as to why and have heard all those "STORIES" of Col. Parker. but Elvis would have loved the UK and he had many fans and i am sure that he would have been shown round by Tom and given " a good time".

My plan is for a video next month to cover his only UK visit in Prestwick. We've been to all these US Elvis sites but not to the one in our own country🙂!

For me the music industry today is so fickle and it all sounds the same and many artists today just record in a sterile tech filled studio No one can do what Elvis did back then and travel all over the place
Early sixties Nashville this when Elvis was at his best vocally physically and artistically and the movies flaming star wild in the kid Galahad just as good as his pre army army movies anyway 1960 Elvis is back and flaming star is the direction he should have kept going in the proper artistic direction; if elvis took better care of himself and had the right artistic direction with the right management who cared about Elvis many great talents and use them properly he could have made all of his movies and albums in the the same direction it was going with flaming star and Elvis is back and the way he look and sang in the early the sixties he definitely could have been like that way past 50 years old if he took better care of of himself anyway 1960 great year for Elvis early 60s most underrated time frame in the Presley career
