- Unfortunately I can’t make it to Warbirds Over Wanaka this year but I took some time to film from Christchurch Airport of the F16’s departing & arriving for the air show.

Great video! I was lucky enough to catch them at CHC too! my focus tends to go in and out due to peoples heads infront of me! I still need to get round to editing my videos!
Hey thanks. Yeah I hear ya about other people, I had to delete some shots as kids were crying in the back ground lol. I try to find my own little spot away from everyone.

Funny how so many kiwis turned up to watch a jet from the 1970s 😂 SAD. While in the UK we have our own F22, eurofighter typhoon, F35 always flying about and New Zealand have the Texens to save them 😂😂

If not, they conform to the standard instrument departure.

Hey brotha! Nice Video, I was just down by where the fence started I love the video and you got such a good clip I lost the F-16's quite a bit with how speedy they are! Keep up the work and I think you'll be at 10k in the matter of a few months!

If you want to get a good vid of them try not to use your zoom to much, set it before they get to you.

Did i hear that the F-16's took 7 minutes to get from Ch-Ch to Wanaka ?
US Air Force F16 pilot Ethan “Bantam” Smith said the flight to the Otago tourist town would take 30 minutes in “economy mode”, but in fast mode, the time could be cut in half to just 10 to 15 minutes.
Not sure who started this 7 minutes gag but it’s funny.
@@GBlanchy I first saw mention of it on the 6pm TV1 news - just another example of media misinformation and a news item concocted by someone who has ZERO knowledge about aviation.
