2023 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo
We decided to scoop up a few last minute tickets to the Rodeo while we were already in town. If you saw our last video on San Antonio, one of our Wilson's Tips was to check out Do 210 if you're looking for something fun to do. This is where we got the idea and information about the rodeo and since we had never been before we wound up buying tickets for the next day.
The Rodeo usually revolves around a musician playing once in the daytime around noon and once at night around 7pm. The artist changes every day. Before the concert, attendees can watch events such as barrel racing, tie down ripping, breakaway roping, bull riding and more. The Rodeo grounds also have tons of vendors with everything from food and apparel to tractors and cutlery, as well as multiple different music stages around. There are also petting zoos and live animal auctions. Guests can also attend a carnival on the fairgrounds for free which is separate from the admission fee for the main events.
We thought the main events in the stadium were fun to watch and we enjoyed the musical performance. Other than that there wasn't a whole lot more to do for a couple just walking around like us. It might have been more fun to explore the grounds with a larger group of people. We would probably consider going again some day if we were really interested in going to the concert.
