    Oh God, purge out every remnant of sin in me for Iam your righteousness through Christ Jesus. May I never trample upon the greatest sacrifice of the lamb of God

      Theresa, I hear you, sister.
      Are you involved with a local church group? For me, it is or has been so hard to identify what (who: me) is holding "me" back in fellowship of experiencing the miracle of God's love for us.
      I am just now experiencing my own self-imposed isolation from like-minded christians in faith. It has been very humbling to knocking those walls down and facing my fear (& pain) of sharing "me".
      God bless you, Theresa. I am with you & Caleb, in prayer.
      ~Hugs & kisses, in Christ Jesus name'

    Thank you for embarking on this series, Pastor John. This is much needed truth to convey as the world becomes more dull and arrogant to the realities of scripture. May the Lord open our eyes to see and our ears to understanding.

    Pastor I hope you read this I’m confused , please help , I read verses like this , don’t understand how we supposed to do this , man can’t change his own heart , isn’t this a work of the Holy Spirit?

  • @OldThingsPassAway

    My question is how much of this "becoming in experience" is based on the Spirit and how much of it is willful decision.

    • @mrJety89
      @mrJety89 5 років тому +1

      However mouch you are able to deal with of your own volition, the Spirit will giveth to you as a duty to do so.

    • @OldThingsPassAway
      @OldThingsPassAway 5 років тому

      @@mrJety89 I think you are hitting it. The question ofc, is of God's sovereignty. Is God sovereign over my sin as a born again Christian? To that extent, does God mean my sin as a believer and follower in Christ FOR his Glory? These are perplexing questions I think about. Obviously, I know God is sovereign, even over my sin as a believer, but knowing how that works is where I imagine it gets quite complicated.

    • @mrJety89
      @mrJety89 5 років тому +1

      @@OldThingsPassAway
      I had heard some preaching recently that I think has parts of the aswers. God honors His gift of free will to you by giving you what you desire, even if what you desire at the moment is sinful.
      He is sovereign over the gift of free will. We're responsible for the handling of this gift. And He is responsible for handling us whether through mercy or judgement, which is again a choice that we make in this life.

    • @rogerbrady2003rab

      Let me ask you a question.. To Sin or Not to Sin.. is it a wilful decision or a spiritual one?

    • @OldThingsPassAway
      @OldThingsPassAway 5 років тому

      @@mrJety89 There's a problem with the idea of free will, though. We would never choose God of our own volition. As Adam sinned, anyone would. As Christ died and was resurrected, only God could do that. That makes our salvation beyond a choice.

    I now better understand this passage:
    “He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, "Lord, do you wash my feet?" Jesus answered him, "What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand." Peter said to him, "You shall never wash my feet." Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no share with me." Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!" Jesus said to him, "The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but is completely clean."”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭13:6-10‬

    Since it is finished and my reality is in Christ, what if I were to say “I sin but I’m not a sinner” and feel as if I had no obligation to confess sin to other believers and God.?
    What would you all say to someone who believes in hyper grace?

    • @chrisseavey79

      Chris Seavey a sinner/Saint?
      I sin therefore I’m a sinner right?
      But I’m saved therefore my identity is in Christ ultimately.

    • @chrisseavey79
      @chrisseavey79 5 років тому

      Awesome questions. I really believe the video answers. But it is definitely a "pandora's box" like he says. You are perfect. Now work on getting rid of sin to become who you already are.

    • @Yela927
      @Yela927 5 років тому

      Chris Seavey that makes since to me, but I’ve watched friends use this “time paradox” to excuse their lack of obedience to Christ in not being a part of the local church and also forsaking his commands from scripture. Things that are commonly said are “If I hypothetically don’t read my bible another day in my life, then I’m still his child” or “me and my dad haven’t spoken in two years, yet he still my dad, that’s how it is with us in God” it troubles me to hear my friend in this place and I want to be able to articulate these truths to him better.

    Jesus Tells us.. "Gods Will Be Done.". Are we Living Gods Will For our Life..or are we living our own will for our life? We should Not be living Pipers will for our life. Jesus is a "Living God" He Gives us current revelation. We should Not be living bible people's will for our lives either.
