In The Singer competition Autumn Strong was the first song he ever sang in Mandarin. He was so grateful to his Chinese audience for welcoming him so warmly that he wanted to say thank you in this way. He only had a week to learn the lyrics and the correct pronunciation. That was very important to him. A really tough job. From the reaction of the audience you can see that he has mastered it with flying colors. Dimash had no idea who the translator was, he was looking for a Mandarin translation of Autumn Strong for a Chinese audience.Terry was also a competitor, recognized the translation, had no bearing on anything, said nothing. It related to a Japanese actress who became famous in China. She had to change her name to Chinese because at that time China went to war against Japanese fascist who colonized China. The Chineses didn’t know her real identity but they found out at the end of the war. They kicked her out of the country. This is a beautiful song from a Japanese composer.
