How can homosexuality be a sin when it's not even a choice?
We can choose who we are intimate with, but we certainly can't choose who we are attracted to.
Hey, fellow straight men reading this: remember when you went through puberty back in school? Remember when you got all excited when you looked at the pretty girls at your school?
Yeah. Did you choose that? Did you go through puberty for a little bit, then wake up one morning and think to yourself, 'gee, I think I'm going to be attracted to girls?'
Me either! I didn't choose to be straight. It's part of my biology. It just.. happened.
Well, guess what? It works the same concerning homosexuality. You can't choose who you are attracted to, come on.
Just spent two hours analyzing and taking notes and still have 10 minutes left of the sermon! Thank you for speaking the truth so that we may grow strong together.

The "active participant" is the one performing the act. In other words, they are the ones choosing to sin.
