When you mentioned failure, it made me think of when I was a kid. All of us would try to prove how tough we were. Seeing how many times we could get knocked down and get back up how scruffy we were at the end of the day it has to be the same way with Art. The people who really are tough are the ones that kept going and produce much better work than when they started thank you. Kind of open my eyes for a new outlook on my failures.
@@christianbond1561 I love that! thank you. That’s a great comparison and now that’s making me think of my own childhood and how we played and we fell and got back up and all those bumps and bruises were battle scars and a point of pride
This is a good lesson I need to internalize. Have a bad habit of working on something and just thinking "it's ugly" or "this isn't like I imagined", when instead it should be more like "Ok, what are the weak points? What do I need to study? How can I approach this differently?" Fear of failure and mistakes is a serious roadblock to improving.
Personally, If I am not failing then I am not learning, when I fail I always look for more efficient and easier ways of doing that task. It always leads to at least 5 or more ways to do that task, experiment when you fail try new approaches, and do not let it discourage you, that is Life.

@@benjaminkent-draws battle scars good phrase!!! Perfect word - in art those are internal- but evident through development 👍👍👍👍

@@atomskeater amen! It’s an easy thing to say but a hard thing in practice. And it really takes practice
