  • how to make led lights at home . How To Make 40 Watt Led light from old materials.
    By this this method you can make your own flash light or outdoor light. In this case i used 12 volt 10 watt led. All LEDs connected parallel. So input voltage still 12 volt DC. As a driver you can use 12 volt 5 Amp SMPS or 12 volt 7Amp battery.
    Parts:
    1) Old CPU heat sink and FAN
    2) 12 volt 10watt LED (4pcs)
    3) Heat shrink tube,
    4) wires & battery clip
    5) 12v 5amp SMPS (if needed)

    Good vedio forget about rude comments. Ur vedio is perfect for those who want cheap aquarium led lights . All they need is use one red and blue led and two white led . This combination will make it a grow light. For aquarium we need to work them for minimum 7 hours continually . So fan is a must . Thanks for Ur vedio . Great

    Cool idea and not bad for the first time you're working with COB's but... Electronics need work before you blow up those COB's, soldering job is barely adequate, mount screws go through the holes in the not in the corners and please work cleaner.

    I have followed the neceassry instruction except that i am using a multiple ac/dc power source. Why is it that when i switch on the light, the fan stops and when i switch off the light. The fan runs. A little help may do. I have little knowledge of electronics but i know most its parts needed. Thanks!

    Bro use 240v, 135J capacitor and make a bridge rectifier using 4007 diods and connect one 50 v 47 uf capacitor and at the positive end of rectifier use 40 ohm 1 watt resistor...the led will work directly in 240 v.

    You need todo work more carefully And less mess! This is terrible work and poor soldering. Always tin with solder before you connect wires to contacts. Screws too big, wires too close to heatsink can cause short, before applyìng paste be more careful & professional not to make such a simple mess (your making a video for others to see). No need for fan with that huge heatsink and 40watts only makes about 98 degrees Fahrenheit. Practice first so you show a more prof job on video cause this is very poor workmanship. THE IDEA IS NICE ..PRACTICE I MUST SAY!

    what?! what is this?! 4x10W = 40W math. 100x10W = 1000W If I find a driver with the right current, it's no big deal. It only costs more than buying a complete one. not to mention its casing is ready to buy, it's aesthetically pleasing, I don't even remember. Existing stuff is not difficult to make, starry sky is the limit. Need to build a led driver! Make an LED, not a 10W-20W battery, if it succeeds, show it. There is nothing in it. Basic electrical knowledge is already possible. And the net is full of such self-proclaimed geniuses. Those who play it reach into the drawer, take out a handful of led batteries, power supply, and unexpectedly put together a series of 10W led panels. From the stuff you buy, it's not a stunt. For example, if you make a space cabin out of a refrigerator, which is pressure-resistant .... well, or you make it from waste, it's not an artwork, it's a really useful, usable thing .. yes, that's something. This has already been done on another channel. Even bigger. You must have seen it, too. What would you like to show? How can you make it? They succeeded. Congratulations, Ellemben didn't make much sense. At least make something that is not yet in the fray. No copying, little bit of variation, plagiarism.

    I have red, green and blue one like this and I am scared to connect directly without resistance 1 or 5 ohm 10W. what can you say about it.?

    • @hristijank2
      @hristijank2 6 років тому +5

      red and yellow are rated at max 7V with heatsink, with normal operating voltage of 6-6.5V 1050mA, blue, green and white are 9-10V, but they can take up to 12V with heatsink. lead acid battery fully charged can reach up to 14.4V. id reccomend u get a 10W resistors 5.7 ohm for the red and yellow LED chips, and 2.2 ohm 10W resistor for the blue LED

    You first need to learn how to propper solder a wire! You heat that wire to much on a plastic switch witch can be damaged. Add tin before solder two wires. All wires must have tin on it and than you just need to touch them with soldering iron.

      Is not the correct way to power a led. You were lucky because the high internal resistor of the battery. In other case you'll blow out the led. Yours was a very big mistake.
