    High n Dry was their best album period. I feel bad for Pete Willis. He wasn't really fired for drinking, hell, they let Steve Clark drink himself to death. He was fired for trying to keep the band on that High N Dry trajectory.

    • @OrbiterTravel
      @OrbiterTravel 2 роки тому +4

      Beyond wrong. Like a drunken incoherent in sessions Pete Willis is going to influence Mutt Lange, Joe, Sav and Steve on the direction of the band. He became a detriment. And he wasn't the leader. Joe was. And Steve wrote way more. The Pete Willis era is awesome. But it was short-lived.

      @@todddickinson3262 Legally they had to pay him if he had a part in the songwriting and mechanicals (recording the music). And Pete's guitar is all over Pyromania. But the Leps weren't going to cheat him out of his share of the album's profits anyway. They're not vindictive like that. Pyromania has (and continues) to make Pete lots of money. He even gets paid all these years later when Leppard performs anything from High 'n' Dry and Pyromania in front of tens of thousands every night in concert. Pete's doing ok financially, no question.

    If you ever take suggestions from anyone Joe Elliott then I will say, you still have plenty in you in terms of song writing. If you want an inspiration watch the new theme song about to start the ".Housenof dragons" while you listen to it you might feel a sense of familiarity to it for probably it was taken from your heavy mid tempo songs.women and gods of War. Write a song similar to that so heavy yet mid tempo that when you listen to it you will feel.the ground tremble Thats one type of sound you need to pursue and not go back to the past. Another great live performance from my fav band of all time. Joe (and Vivian, Phil, and Rick (the Savage one) ) can still reach those high notes after all these years, and the thunder God (Rick Allen) is unparalleled on the drums. amazing..

    High N Dry is their high water mark. Unreal UFO inspired bad ass album. Switch 625 is the highlight. Steve Clark could shred.
