Batumi 6th May park. Georgia 4k walking tour 2022

May 6 Park is one of the most popular places in Batumi among residents and guests of the city. The park was founded in the 19th century, in 1881. The area around Lake Nurigeli was ennobled by the French gardener d'Alfonso. The park was named Alexandrovsky - after the Emperor of Russia, Alexander III, who ascended the throne. The modern name of the park was in honor of the end of the Adjara crisis on May 6, 2004.
