if you look through them everything looks a bit purple, but from the side looks like lenses are brown or something like that

No, They are plastic lenses. The Ray-Ban Erika sunglasses are really nice though, especially the Gradient lenses with the nylon frames, they feel sort of like rubber and they are really comfortable, they are made in Italy and are of excellent quality.

I agree, These Sunglasses are way too big for his face. He'd look great in the Wayfarer originals.
