- Teaser trailer for the upcoming short film "Gott Mit Uns", depicting the path of a German soldier Strunk Wittmann as he experiences the horrors and losses of warfare. Detailing events of the conflict from 1941 through 1945, Wittmann becomes disenfranchised with the conflict which ultimately drives him to sever loyalties with a regime he once supported.

It could be, that he thought, there was no way of saving him, so he ended his suffering in a quick way.
A bayonet in the stomach is a slow and painful death, and it doesn't look like there is any medic or equipment available.
He could have pulled out the bayonet and then try to stop the bleeding, but this probably would just have prolonged his inevitable death.

A premise like this would make for a great film, but I would need more support/funding in order to facilitate a project like that.
