Departure and Awakening Will are quite similar, but AW is a bit too bittersweet for me. Both should be in the Top 5 of every Mega Man Zero list, nevertheless.

+sephatu To mitigate the utter suckage. I mean, ice/water levels in megaman aren't too bad at all, but in most games, they are. It's not just megaman, lots of games have great soundtrakcs in water levels.
Fun fact if you never played X: In Megaman ZX if you're on the highway it's very similar to X's Highway with some of the same enemies. It's also similar to fighting Vile. Serpent harms you severely and kills Girouette, and your using Model X and your defeated

I will say this playlist has variety. If I'd crafted it, I would have just spammed ZX songs till the cows come home. That game's soundtrack just really does it for me, and I'm pleased to see it getting solid representation here.
When I first played mmz2 and heard departure, I got chills and thought zero must be a bad ass. That being the first time I played any mm game I got the shit beaten out of me:-)
I'm still here listening to these nostalgic songs. I miss my teenage years, but i'm glad i had the chance to play megaman zx and zx adventures, which is probaly the end of megaman. The sad part is we didn t get a game explaining enough the passage the classic game for x era, what happened to protoman etc...
A great list Sliider36 for many, this should be different, that's inevitable, but for me it was a good caught of all the themes that we like :D It is interesting, the most of the players remember their games for their weft and history; but we, who have played the Megaman Series not only remember for their excellent events and facts but also we remember them for their excellent OST and music themes.
If there's one thing I can agree with you on in that comment, it's the naming. The bosses are named some really stupid a forgettable things. But everything else...no. If you think Zero's story was childish, compare it to the Classic games..now THOSE are pretty simplistic and kiddy, And the gameplay is fantastic with some of the best controls in a Mega Man game ever! If there's one gripe I had with the Zero series, it was the ranking system. It made the difficulty harder than it was already, and I feel like without it, the difficulty would be more enjoyable.
As someone who had only played the desert stage in Zero 2 as her only megaman knowledge for majority of her life (could never beat it as a kid), that stage is GREAT.
I never paid much attention to the background in Area Zero. Looking at it now though, I’m noticing crumbled buildings and what looks like a destroyed city stretching far in the distance. What a sad world.
Though at Ouroburos, 16:00, i wouldnt have showed the 3 headed boss since its a different music employed at this moment. But i agree with omega song being in your first XD.

The version of Cannon Ball used in ZX and Zero 3 is actually different. Not by much, but there are slight differences. Specifically the intro to the song before the guitar is from ZX's version of it.
Maybe, but Dr.Wily seemed to have survived long enough to create Zero, and it was implied that he (or at least some form of him) was working with working with Sigma to restore Zero's original programming. It does seem that the Robot protagonists wouldn't retire peacefully, and Dr.Cain (being an archaeologist) DID find X's capsule in some ruins (presumably abandoned some time between 20XX and 21XX.
I know it all comes Down to personal taste but you could really have used a bit more o ZX and ZX advent songs instead of putring every single "ice field" theme in The series XD nice vid tho.

Hum. While some music were must have in these video. Some other's are lacking. Supreme Ruler is completly forgotten while it was one of the most intense moment of the whole MMZ series. There is also the intro of MMZ4 who is missing. "Caravan" and there's also Albert theme. "Soul Abalze" who is missing. But still, nice vid.
I would have replaced the "Showdown" song with Craft's battle theme. The Snowy Plains one with the ZX boss battle theme. "United Forces" with the 1st Albert battle theme from ZXA. And lastly, I'd replace "Drifting Floe" with Heat Genblem's stage theme
