      @@TheNotSoOrdinaryCarGuy haha yea YOU DO!! I go to Hidden Falls at least once a month if not twice. How many times have you’ve been? Also I did like the 3D map view you did on the videos. That’s awesome. I’m going to pull up Google Google Earth and study it or I guess
      I can do it in my OnX desktop app.

      @@RockLander818 Thanks! I haven't been going as frequently as I used to in previous years, but I've been there too many times to count. My first trip there was in 2014 after we moved to the Austin area. OnX has a lot of the trails mapped, if not all of them, at Hidden Falls. It's a great resource!

      There’s easier trails than these. And bypasses to a lot of the harder stuff. They give you a map with the difficulty rating for each trail.

    Cool video I've been searching for Rubicon vids for a while this was by far the best I'm looking to buy a rubicon but one that's stock so it hasn't had that kind of abuse..amazed at how well that thing goes!!

    • @TheNotSoOrdinaryCarGuy
      @TheNotSoOrdinaryCarGuy  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks! I really appreciate that! I bought this one about a year and a half ago. 2004 5spd, with 104k miles. It was completely stock other than a 2" spacer lift in the front. All I've done suspension-wise is removed the spacer lift and added a 3" coil spring lift and 1.25" body lift and added 35" tires. It was a kit called the Zone Combo lift. It performs really well for the money. I've owned JKU Rubicons that were lifted higher and I think this performs just as well, if not better, thanks to the short wheelbase. I almost think she could tackle the Rubicon trail in the current form. Good luck on your search for a good used Rubicon! I know there's one out there for ya!

    Great video of the section of the park that I had just completed a day ago. I wish that you would have been there to join me in my JK. I think that you have just sold me on the Gaia app and the Samsung tablet, too.

      That’s awesome! I’m now running gaia using a used iPad mini 4. The screen is slightly smaller but it’s much lighter and the app works smoother. It’s also a tad bit more expensive that the Samsung. Can’t go wrong with the Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 though! Best bang for your buck! Thanks for watching!

      My Dad spent some of his early years near Cincinnati. I remember him saying he used ride along with an off-road group out there wayyyy back in the day. We're talking like 50 years ago Lol! He did say it was a different kind of wheeling. More mud than rocks. But I'm actually used to the trails of the West where the trails were on public land and forest service roads. So having to go to a private park to wheel was a new concept when I moved to Texas six years ago. But in some ways it's nice having all different types of trails in one place.
